Please guys.. help me out .... what is a good program for making the Icons and background? Paint gives me the wrong KB size everytime I use the proper size attributes.
Also... anyone know of a good hex editor?
Thanks guys.. really need help here :(
I have another way on converting PSX games.
I used ISO Producer to make the iso and it was very simple to use (Although the eboot will be about the same size as the iso, which will be big in some cases,it has a better chance of working)
OMGosshhh i did everything you told me but i get stuck in stop #6 dude please help me i dont know what to write in that commad -.- thanks in advance:thumbup:
im having a problem with converting my .img file to an eboot. Im in the cmd promt and I typed popstation IMAGE.IMG and it says Cannot open BASE.PBP any help ?
Sorry, would have gotten to this sooner, but the site was not working for me...
Anyway, GIMP is a free image editing program with features similar to that of Photoshop. You can find it at:
www.gimp.org
I used it to resize some MGS images I found online to make for it. Worked fine on the PSP.
it worked at last. All i can say is DaX is teh Hax. Cheers mate.
I made a video tutorial on using popstation.
Heres the youtube links:

OMG wow! Thank you so much! I finally got it to work after the 7th or so time trying, I think it was the format mem. card that did it.

hi i'v been thinking of upgrading to 3.02 OE-B but have some questions,i have a 2.80 psp useing kriek eloader and saw many ppl upgrade to 3.02 OE-B so my question is can i upgrade from 2.80 >> 3.02 OE-A then 3.02 OE-B or that wont work? plz give me answers ;;
Just so everyone knows, I've changed my user name. Also, I update the tutorial based on what you guys are asking so keep checking up on it before you ask your questions :)
You need to downgrade to 1.50 then update to 3.02 OE-A I think
You HAVE to stick to those dimensions I think. Try it if they're bigger, I actually want to see if popstation will reject them or not
Popstation -will NOT work- if the custom pictures are any size or Kb size different than what was stated before. It simply makes either a 0k EBOOT file, or dosen't do anything at all.
I tested it several times, and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working anymore. Turned out my PIC0.png file was too large. Same for ICON0.png. PIC1.png, however, can be as large as you like.
hey
I've been trying to run FF7 but everytime I boot up th eboot it goes through the screen from hot shots.. but then I only recieve a black screen..
does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
samidgley your game needs to be NTSC and you have to have a clean rip of the game preferably in bin or img format. Try ripping other games with UltraISO or Alchohol other programs won't do. I've been trying with MagicISO and got the same problem.
Good luck
I need to buy a bigger stick...
I made a rip of comand and conquer, and I tried making it smaller by using pocketiso to rip the music and videos....and popstation processed it fine... but it didn't play at all :(
Is there anyway that we can somehow edit/remove the video and music from games and have them still work on the psp? or do I just need to get a bigger stick, or wait for some kind implementation for compressed images?
People have been stripping out the FMVs, but honestly, all you need is a 1GB card (they are stupidly cheap, you can buy a 4GB card for the same price a 1GB card was last year!) since PS1 games came on CD's meaning the maximum size they could be is just over 800MB
Help Please....
I have a problem anytime I try to open OE-B after installing3.02 OE-A..I followed all the isnstructions on the front page anbd all I get is error message ... The game could not be statred.(80020148),,,Any help would be greatly Apprecaited
I know that you can rip fmvs from the iso and that many emulators play these isos fine.
But I know that the psp psx emulator probably doesn't support this, so what I'm asking is...
Is there a way to rip fmvs and/or music from isos without breaking compatibility with the official psp psx emulator?
I can afford a bigger stick, I can even get a 4gb for like $99
But I don't wanna wait for half a month on the 4gb to get delivered... and I don't wanna pay for a 1 gig, when the 4gb is a much better deal...
And in either case, I have to wait for my next paycheck
Is there any way to install this on a 2.81 fw psp????
great tutorial!!
how much mg would the 1st disk of final fantasy 7 take?
im upgrading to 3.02 OE-B now wish me good luck :)
Nice work - thanks for the post!
A couple of questions - I'm sure other people would like to know...
- Does installing this update affect ones ability to play new, bought games? e.g. Super Ghosts n Goblins
Is the update forward compatible? (I suspect not...)Or backwards compatible with any versions before the official 3.02
- v2.71 SE - what does the SE stand for?
I succesfully updated to 3.02 OE-B.
Thanks dark_alex!
And ofcourse 808 for the tutorial :)

SE stands for Special Edition, OE stands for Open Edition
