OH SWEET DEAR JESUS, HOLY CRAP! I can't wait to tell my friend! He's been wanting a 1.5 PSP for the longest time, but has been too lazy to buy one, but now he can downgrade!
I remember he had a 2.60 PSP, and I offered to let him borrow Grand Theft Auto to downgrade, and he was like "Nah!" and then went home and upgraded, then felt stupid when he saw me playing homebrew and crap on my PSP.

I decided to try it out. I successfully made it to the final step that says "Load the included NetConfigBackup" but when I try to start it I get the old cannot be started error. Anyone else get that? How important is this final step?
I'll try to seipsptool or kxploit it to see if I can get it to run.
Other than that, it was pretty easy. I did have to copy over my files though becuase gtalcs wouldn't load hen at first.
Nope I still can't get it to load so now what should I do, I'm afraid to use it.
This is what the readme says "try adding a temporary network config, then deleting it and run the netconf backup". I guess I should figure that out and try it lol. Unfortunatley I have no idea what it means.
Ok I did what it said, made a new connection then deleted it. Still the NetConfigBackup won't load. Any ideas, this is getting a bit frustrating.
ok, after ejecting the battery and the power cabel and reinsert the power cabel, i started it again. Now, it loads 50%, stopped, shows 1 sec. a white screen and then a black. after some sec. my psp powered of. I think you can downgrad from 2.81 till 3.00 but not from 3.03 (the Goofy exploit won't work and i have the correct GTA-LCS because the goofy exploit worked on fw2.81)
If somebody had downgrade a 3.03 please tell me how, please.

beautiful, just beautiful. I have two friends who have been waiting for a 2.81 downgrader since they found about about hombrew through me. Tommorow we are meeting at a starbucks and are going to enjoy some brew' and coffee. To all that worked on and created this downgrader and HEN, I commend you as you have basically made a downgrader that can work for all the firmwares currently out. Sweet:cool:
Its usually on the www.noobz.eu site but to conserve bandwidth they limited the site to just the downgrader page for now. They definitely deserve a lot of donations, as does Dark_AleX & co. As do many many coders for that matter.Quote:

Why are you offering to help, if you don't even know how? HEN is used to play homebrew without downgrading. It loads a patch into the RAM that lets you play homebrew until you turn off your PSP.Quote:

P.S. the netconfigbackup is only to keep your network connection without doing all the work of making it again, or atleast that is what i understand. so it is not needed
What did you do that HEN303 (in the downgrader) works? Sometimes i get short a white screen and then a black. After some sec. (i think 6 sec.) my psp turns power off. Before i upgraded to 3.03 my psp had firmware 2.81 and the goofy exploit worked with my lcs. And now, on 3.03 it didn't work.Quote:

This is my happiest moment with the psp scene. I've updated about 4 times giving up hope of a downgrader for a number of firmwares and ended up updating and a couple weeks after each ugrade, a downgrader is released and I say, "DAMN IT!" But now, I kept faith in the scene when I got to 3.00 and now am able to downgrade. I can't believe this. Thank you very much for the downgrader, many people will benifit from this, especially me, and I thank you yetr again for this glorioud moment.
@aTomIC , To get it to work I had to copy the save and HEN files from the ms_root folder from the zip I downloaded to the psp folder on my stick. Just putting the ms_root folder on my psp did nothing, my psp didn't recognise it at all. After I manually copied it over it worked fine though.
Can anyone tell me how to get the NetConfBackup to work though? Ok, if I don't do this can I still safely install 3.03 OE? The psp says it is at 1.50 now.
Tried this on my neighbor's brothers' psp and it worked 100%. This was really easy to do when compared to some of the flash0 editing I did on my psp, a really great downgrader.

i think ill wait a little to downgrade see whats up i have a 3.03oe-c and my bro has a 3.03 ill wait a week or so then ill do it see if the do somthing betterto get rid of all the old 3.03 stuff but its ok for you hyper noobz

3.03 oe here I come, again.
I see alot of sucsec so i will be doing my mums friends psp, brothers psp, brothers friends psp and my sisters BFs psp tomoro. lol
went down to 1.5 no probs, then up to 3.03OE-C, also no probs.
How? Simple....followed the instuctions in the readme(s) no probs
finally, it worked on my psp. my battery wasn't 100% and it works only with 100% :). Now, my psp's firmware ist 3.03 OE-C :)
Ok guys i downgraded my bros psp, now its 3.03 oe c. And bc i had the files my psp is now 3.03 oe c as well
i'm encountering a problem in the downgrading process...i just got my psp to 3.03 HEN, but now I don't know what to do. I have the earlier motherboard, and apparently I'm supposed to run the 1.50 upgrade, but i can't find it in games on my psp. i have it set to psp\game\update.pbp, but the psp thinks it's corrupted data.
also, i was thinking that it should be eboot.pbp, but i'm not positive.
any help?
No it has to be named "UPDATE", don't overwrite the eboot file that is already in there.. Maybe the update is corrupted, download it at psp hacks again. You need a link? Also copy the save files and the HEN folder from the ms_root from the download zip to your psps folders. It may recognise it that way.
In a few minutes I'll have 2 psps at 3.03 0ec. :)
I really hope this doesn't result in people pirating more games...
I once downloaded a game that i didn't own. but i felt bad and got rid of it really fast.
the next day i went out and bought the game because i felt so bad, which is still no excuse.
i really hope people realize that by downloading pirated games they are killing the psp.
