I know how to merge them is easy done it thousand of times
O Yeah mergin them is easy as pie ... makin them is a drag tho... i searched for hours for a complete 01-12.bmp set of PS3 backgrouds until i decided there wasnt anyone posting them so i decided to make them and post it... they go pretty well with the original colors... they fade from black to w/e color (for example Dec = fade top to bottom, black to red)
heres the link http://www.sendspace.com/file/8cm1pw
just download activate flash 0 on 3.03 oe-c and pop in overwriting the old one
Great guide, Zion (and vision). Thanks for the help. :)
I'm gonna try it now using the recovery USB mode.
you sir are a ledgend.
that black and blue background looks brilliant!
ART listen up make this available for your new xflash!!!
since X flash has not been updated yet just use U flash it works just fine
Is there any way to use an image larger than 60x34? like the old PSPersonalize that used 300x170. I'd really like to use an image I made specificalsly for it, but it loses all detail at such a small size.
just one thing...
I'm trying to make the whole 01-12.bmp file. So far so good, I can manage, but:
1. I wrote a small prog to cut the 01-12.bmp into 12 BMPs, each of which comes to be 6176 bytes long. OK
2. I just edit 01.bmp, make it full BLACK and save it
3. I get a file which is 6174 bytes long!!! (I'm using MS Paint to do this...)
So when I merge them together all the BMPs after mine don't show up in the background selection, although I see mine perfectly if I chose it...
So my question is: where the hell are those 2 missing bytes??? In the header, anyway, I see a size specified, which is consisten in both the files, so basically I just need a program that saevs my BMP like it should be, 6176 bytes... How to?
TIA, A.

prog will take 1.bmp - 12.bmp (needs to be in ms:/bmp/)
pads out smaller than 6176 files and merges them. then (bit i dont like) write them to flash and deletes them from MS
