That's a game model format, useless if you are going to raytrace render the image.

Which makes no sense. Why would you model in a game 3d modeller from 1999 (low poly) for a high quality raytraced rendered image.

statements don't match. If you had the original PSD, why did it match the jpeg pixel for pixel. Even at this point, you haven't mentioned anything about 3d modelling.

thats why im unique on my jobs, this helps me on structures, and i know that it doesn't make sense. but thats me. my jobs are not on the internet ever again.
i had devianart too for my projects but people were taking the images and edit and claiming for themselves which i hate that a lot, but now, and right now im being slapped

Considering that this thread has been going for 14 pages, the only one that is digging themselves into the dirt here is you; by not providing any counter evidence to the material that I have supplied.

It still doesn't explain why the two statements (in particular the bold areas) don't match. Also the Metroid model doesnt need a skin or a textures, its all material based.

In fact, acn010 hasn't even mentioned what modelling package is used. MDL7 can be exported from a variety of different modelling packages.
