even i dont want to upgrade to 2.71 from 2.5 because homebrew is still very unstable in 2.71. maybe it would be better if they just make devhook work with fw 2.5/2.6Quote:

@bl8z3d
well...the hassle of getting the patch done isn't the problem for me, it's more of whether it will work...lol. not to mention kxploiting all my stuff...i'm still thinking about it. but my biggest question would be compatability. Since i'm currently relying on gta eloader to play whatever the tiff eloader can't. upgrading to 2.71 would also allow me to enable flash support. But hear hear...hopefully a 2.6 frenly would be released. btw, would it be wise to try it on a 2.6?? the henb patch and all? :D
This is a huge moment in PSP history, I even updated to 2.71(from 2.60) to try this out and now I am running 1.5, and oh does it feel good.
You can now also devhook 2.60, which is the same...Quote:

The TIFF and GTA .99 eloaders are fully compatible with 2.71 currently. So there's absolutely no reason for anyone on 2.60 NOT to upgrade to 2.71, TA-082 or otherwise.Quote:

It's really the best of all worlds.
GTA eloader works wif 2.71??! i tot it only worked with 2.6??
Oh right, that only works on 2.60. But it's irrelevant, because ALL of the stuff you need the GTA loader to run will run under Devhook, and a whole shitload more too.Quote:

It is currently a GIANT pain in the ass getting the HEN to run, due to the instability of the TIFF though.
Hopefully soon they'll patch that so it works every time, or create a loader for it that runs from the TIFF eloader like any other homebrew.
that's the second thing...i ain't too sure how to get it working...ar well...if any1 know where a tutorial is posted pls pm me. in the meantime i'm gonna go to bed. no point losing sleep over it...lol. I've got all the files i need on my psp already..all it needs are my fingers though i must say, firmware dumps take up a rather big chunk of memory.
Good lord i'm still thinkng...lol
And as soon as I posted my whining, Dark_Alex releases a revised HEN B update that's more stable.
Worked the first time out. Damn!!!!

hellp meeeeeeeeeeee plz some1- wr do u put the 1.5 an 2.71 fw, can sum plz take me thru a detailed description of wat to do
As I said before in this thread, it's easier if you just find a copy of Devhook .45 with all the firmwares already in it. Try a torrent site, or google.
only 18.2 megs a pop or so :)Quote:

I have searched and there is no ta0082 owner confirming that they can run umds or is* . ANd can anyone just guide how to EMULATE 1.5Quote:

after that runs, the xmb will reset....download and run devhook for 2.71....if u want the full release w/ the d*m* of 1.5 just pm...*coughs* and then voila. done.
Yes I have confirmed ALL of this 3 or 4 times now.Quote:

YES! YES! YES! Does that answer your question?
As far as a guide - simple - download the HENB, and the Devhook launcher from Dark_Alex's site. I posted it here already. Then find a copy of Devhook .45 with the firmwares. There are other sites that have it. We can't tell you where to get that specifically on this site, but it's not that hard people.
Once you get all that stuff, follow the instructions, and install it.
then run it.
Enjoy.
Idea....2.71 users could technically update to 2.0 when in 1.5 firmware?
Good idea, but with the PSP flash still having 2.71 that would be a MASSIVE risk, wouldn't it?
Thanks man. Anyhow i found the problem was henb wasnt loading while any umd was in drive secondly after running devhook and selecting the game file i wanted to play i wasnt pressing home (hold) button and than press L or R . so i wasnt geting to emulation menu. And note that after the menu insert any umd and play any game. and u can insert anyumd . Now my TA082 plays everything and that includes what we cannot mention here .Quote:

Spread the word to all the TA-082 owers 1.5 is available to all!! (except 2.8/1 users)
For whatever reason, 1.5 is NOT available for me :( I've been trying since yesterday with no success.Quote:

This happens every time, not once has HenB restarted to the XMB.
I have a TA-82, 2.71 psp, and it seems to work for everyone, so I don't get what the problem is? Is there anything special that I need to do for HenB to restart after the blue screen is shown?

Could HENB have someone not flashed the files correctly on my PSP? That's about the only thing I can think of, because other than that, our PSP's would be identical. Anyone know how to get HENB to reflash?
@ jdm69
i doubt that the files where not flashed correctly, maybe the files where not even flashed at all
If they weren't flash at all, wouldn't I have got a red screen? I got the green screen, which would mean that everything worked, correct? Like I said, I always get to the blue screen, but the PSP just won't restart to the XMB.
Also, I'd think that if the files weren't flashed to the psp, I would continue to get the red screen, or some point get the green screen. I'm not a hundred perfect sure how it all works, but obviously HENB thinks the files are flashed? I don't know at this point...too stressed out.
have you tried loading any of the .prx files that where included in the download to see if the files where really flashed?
Yes, the games boot up and look like they are going to work, then I get a screen that says something like "This game cannot be started." So, technically it begins to boot the .prx file, but comes up with the error.
i don't think it even loads the .prx files, i think that the files load after the psp video plays, because that's when the memory stick light begins to flash.
Technically, it wouldn't be able to load the .prx files though unless HENB was able to run correctly. Because I always get to the blue screen and my psp shuts down, HENB is never loaded into the memory and therefore the .prx files are not able to run. Why my psp shuts off after the blue screen, I don't know.
i assume you have also tried removing all the files and then putting them back on to your memory stick, if not do that.
sorry for not being of any help, but i got to go..
