People talk about the quality of pictures, and that they get grainy in dark areas. But could anyone please upload or show us some examples of this, and some examples generally? It's hard to find on the Internet. Thanks.

Theres a few others on flickr too, its where I checked before buying the camera.
Heres some videos:
Aiming the camera at my 32" Samsung HDTV:

Macro mode:

Short video of one of the rabbits:

Not all these results are automatic settings, Geometry Wars I set manual white balancing and dropped the exposure a little to try to get as close to the right colours as possible. So there is a little leeway for tweaking.
Thank you very much, all those samples are highly appreciated. Of the photos, I especially like the one of the Tigger cup. The videos have better quality than I imagined, and Ripley is cute.
To open the three last video links, remove the 3 in front of the final file name in the URL. This camera definitely seems to be worth getting, especially now that Sony has announced they will allow it to be used for videochatting, and hopefully, developers will take it in use for games and such in the future. :)
I found one on ebay for $14.00!!!!!!!!:):D :) :D :) :D
but i dint buy it.
does anyone know were to get the softwere for the gps for psp?

A brief overview of this thread:
PSP Camera
Importable from Japan
Downloadable English software (GoEdit)
1.3 Megapixel camera (not the best)
Slight zoom (low quality)
AWESOME video (samples linked above)
Might be used via Sony software (videochat)
~7500en = ~$60
My views are thus: No one in their right mind would buy this to be their main digital camera, so those people saying that this is completely useless and a waste of money because of the lower end photos, are just plain insane, as are those who want to use this in PSP games (those style games are always so lame). However, with the quality of the video produced by this and the outrageous prices of decent video camera's, this could work out as the next best thing. ~$60 is nothing to spend on an easy attachment to an awesome gaming/homebrew rig that could (hopefully) be a target for homebrewers to create some awesome video phone/chat brew. Not to mention that for all those baka videobloggers, this is just perfect. I would like to see them port or clone Trillian Pro to the PSP with the video support... that would be quite excellent.
BTW: for all those asking about the GPS.. Awesome and worth every Japanese Yen and every hour I spent setting up Densika's brew, yeah it will take a while. The link to the software is posted above. And there was a thread specifically for that I believe so just do a search for PSP GPS for details. I don't know if it works with the latest custom firmware though, I have yet to try it with any of the m33 cfw (I mailed the unit to the States a couple months ago) and haven't kept up at Densika's site (but I'm sure he's still keeping up with it).
Oh and for some more Go!Cam functionality... here is the info about the Go!Messenger (MSN messenger on the PSP)
http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/22/s...nd-go-explore/
or the internal camera mod on acidmods.com.. I think they put a thread about it here on dcemu, but here's a direct link.

Though I still think that a Trillian Pro with video support would be outstanding... Trillian and Pidgin(Gaim) support every IM protocol you could think of (including IRC)... probably hard as hell to code to the PSP though.
cool :)
then buy it then ^
