Hi everyone check out my new thread to recommend N64 games to try with new emu's for the psp.. Also to talk about them and other stuff that is along the lines of N64 emulation on the psp. Hopefully this will let people to disscuss things on that topic without bothering psmonkey or Stremnenm-(or what ever his name is its hard to spell lol)
theses are 2 pics from worms armagendon... p.s the framrate is 3.2 approx and the game did not crash
Perfect dark does not load (32megs!!!!)p.s only bothered to wait 30mins so longer might work but i doubt it wiv the size of the rom
I put N64 roms in %folder and renamed them to .v64 but they don't show up on the menu and when they try to load the psp turns off.Cheers Gazz. :)
Castlevania 64 doesnt work.
Indiana Jones and the infernal machine doesnt work.
I am but every time it boots the emulator it says its loading the rom. Do I need that rom in a special folder? It does not seem to find it. Eventually my psp just crashes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spiderman -------------------Requires Patience (quite slow) but gets in game although it's a black & purple fest after the intro -----------------CharltonHeston on version R4
MK4 gets in game but when you throw a punch it crashes. i have a 2.60 US PSP using eLoader
banjo-tooie---------------------gets stuck during loading---------------------m64fan
Chopper Attack---------------------works, but has texture errors and lags---------------------extreemiL
]Diddy Kong Racing---------------------screen turns purple after the Diddy Kong Racing message has dissapeared---------------------extreemiL
Battletanx-------------------Doesn't Boot-------------------Bobby Lemain R4
Battletanx Global Assult-------------------Dosn't Boot-------------------Bobby Lemain R4
Crusin World-------------------Frezzes before press start screen-------------------Bobby Lemain R4
Carmageddon 64-------------------crashes at an untextured screen-------------------Bobby Lemain R4

Dobutsu no Mori (J)-------------------almost everything is untextured and is an eyesore, it seems to go ingame but is too slow to acctually be playable-------------------Bobby Lemain R4

Using Daedalus
**************
Installation
------------
Copy the Daedalus folder to the \PSP\GAME\ folder on your PSP (for
the v1.5 firmware release you should also copy across the Daedalus%
folder).
Roms
----
Roms should be copied to the Roms subdirectory within the
Daedalus folder. Daedalus recognises most roms formats (.v64, .z64,
.rom etc) and will also run roms compressed within .zip files.
When Daedalus boots with a zipped rom, for performance reasons it
will attempt to decompress it to a temporary file on your memory
stick before execution. If you are low on free space, it is
recommended that you keep the original rom file on your PC, and
manually extract the rom to your Roms directory.
and for everyone who doesn't like the conversion/decompressing times, just change all your roms to little endian(.n64) and don't zip them....the first version of daedalus ran byteswapped without converting them, dunno why it is like this now....but it is going to be fixed in the next release anyway
Man you guys are great testers. I'll update the list tommorow after I get some much needed sleep.
Destruction Derby 64 - loads till "press start" and the car starts at 1.63 fps, then freezes.
Mortal kombat Mythologies - doesn't load
Cruis'n USA - doesn't load
Aerogauge - loads, menu at 25fps, gets in game (5-10fps),playable, a bit slow, some glitches, some polygons gets purple, frozen after a minute.@333mhz
Bust a move 99 - menu loads, works, but freezes and turns off at getting into game@333mhz
Pilot Wings 64 - loads, sea is purple, sky ok, textures ok. freezes after pilot select.@222mhz
Clay fighter 63 1/3 - doesn't load
Airborder 64 - loads, runs. ground is purple, around 2-3 fps, really slow, very annoying but playable.
Army Men Sarge's Heroes - loads, runs, gets in game, around 4fps, men looks purple, some textures are missing.
trying more
bluesbrothers 2000- playable at a slow speed. purple and balck textures on some objects in game and on some menus, apart from that looks good on the rest of textures.
nice screen shots
good thing i didnt update
Shadows of The Empire---------------Starts But flickers and Takes Long time to load.
What does the black represent on the list, and if possible can anyone help me with a 2.6 downgrader to 1.5 ( i check the internet everyday but i can't find one.Maybe you guys will have better luck than me.). I originally had a 1.5 but im a noob and upgraded to 2.6 when i got bored of emulators and other stuff. Now i realize how stupid i was. Thanks guys.
black are the ones that havent been tested yet.
there is no 2.6 to 1.5 downgrader.
Zelda Ocarinta of time....works but, is very slow and some textures are missing
* Re-Volt---------------- doesn't boot----------------- JohnK on R4
* Ready 2 Rumble Boxing --- very slow and buggy menu (1.5 fps, missing textures), ingame is at same speed but looks almot perfect graphically --- JohnK on R4
* Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 --- very slow and buggy menu (1.5 fps, only the background appears) cannot go any further --- JohnK on R4
* Ridge Racer 64 --- good menu (10 fps average), slow ingame, purple graphics, and freezes when selecting a car --- JohnK on R4
* Road Rash 64 --- good menu (15-34 fps, some graphic bugs) 2 fps ingame with purple graphics --- JohnK on R4
* Roadsters Trophy --- very slow and buggy menu (2 fps, some missing/purple textures) 2 fps in game, missing objetcs/purple textures --- JohnK on R4

* Rush 2: Extreme Racing --- good menu speed (20 fps) lot of purple text/ graphics, slow ingame, lot of purple graphics, shut down psp shortly before course starts --- JohnK on R4
gex 64 enter the gecko is the best running rom around. when it gets in game after about a minute and a half of company ads it runs so fast with full textures.
definatly try this one guys.
one other thing when it says new game to start do not press x straight away. wait a few seconds or the game will crash.
World Cup 98 - Loads up after about a minute and some screens are textured but menu is purple without textures, slow.
WWF War Zone - Game does not boot

Zelda64 gets ingame Sroon
I Managed To Get Ocarina Of Time Running
PSP=2.6
Version Of EMU=2.4
Japanese ROM
Runs AT About Same Speed As Mario 64
The thing with OoT is that when you press Start it freezes so once you get the Kokiri Sword you can't equip it so there is now way to get past Mido.
i got mario kart to run and legend of zelda ocarina of time, also running was shadows of the empire with some severe problems, beattle adventure racing crashes at name entry screen and mario kart crashes at different places, i have tried it 4 times and each time it creashed in a different place, one time i had actually begun a race. hope that helps
ps i have created a little internet script so that we can keep a rome list and all that sort of stuff allowing you to leave comments and say weather it is working or not i need somewhere to host it though.
this is a very good compatability list
Neon Genesis Evangelion 64 --------------- Error!! appears all over the screen and EEP-ROM NOT FOUND appears in the center ------------- devilmob on R4
The list on page 1 need to be updated.
For example:
* Super Mario 64-----------------Working 20-25% of full speed, crashes when you enter the first level---------------crowba (on R4 it works perfectly and doesnt ever crash even when you enter levels but it only runs at about 5 FPS)
* Quest64--------black screen and psp shuts down after 1min (on R4 it loads and runs but is all Purple and hard to see)
* Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The (I have not tried it yet but people said it works at least a little)
