i have a 2.01 psp ... i bought it second-hand from someone .... it came with a gta:liverty stories umd disc... i think it is a french version... i don't know what's it's initial firmware...
what do i have to do??? about the ta-082..i don't know if mine is a ta-082 as

the green thing is covered under a silver plate...
and i only have a 32mb memory stick..is this enough???
im not too sure about the compatibility
i think the new model is the only one that doesnt work

The folder that just has MP_ROOT, PSP and UTILS folder....
and if i overwrite the PSP folder with the downdater folder.....wont everything be gone...(ie.....eloader.....and system folder...or do i just put the downdater folder into the game folder....?

ok people this is what i did after gettin the downgrader at psp-hacks.com
1. restore factory settings
2. format memory stick
3. make sure ur psp is fully charged and plugged in to the adapter
4. install the eLoader(i used the latest version SuperBock)
5. drag/drop the "DOWNDATER" to the root of the MS
6. drag/drop the PSP folder in the root of MS(since this folder already exsists it will ask u to overwrite it, say yes to all)
7. run GTA:LCS
8. select the downdater test
9. wait til ur psp's MS light flashes(for a few minutes)then it restarts and goes the the blue sceen then press O
10. ur psp will restart again and a msg will come up "the game can not be read" at this point turn of ur psp and take out GTA:LCS the turn on ur psp and u got a 1.5 psp

Do you think that using that kit on a JP PSP would matter because I have found the JP Dump but the folder layout is different and i'd rather not take any risks..

for some reason when the eloader menu pops up....it says PSP upgrade 2.6.......what does this mean?
as in like....its like upgrade....i clicked on it nothing happend though.....anyideas?
It's because you still have the upgrade eboot in your PSP/GAME folder so when the eloader scans it finds it

It's great to hear it works correctly. I want to hear if it works for PSPs with 2.01 pre-installed, with an update to 2.5/2.6 so that I can downgrade a few eager friends' psps.
Ha ha ha ha, it worked, i got a 1002psp orig fw2.00 upgraded to fw2.6, downgraded to 1.5.
does anyone know if theres any way to watch the
ff7 advent children umd with 1.5 with devhook or something?
holy working downgraders batman! IT FRIKKIN WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went from v2.50 then upgraded by force to v2.60 then used this downgrader and now im at v2.00 and about to go down to v1.50!!
i feel so happy. pretty much all of the psp community is back down to 1.5!! sony must be so f*cking pissed!!! :)
