PSP Custom Firmware v3.51 M33

I read that this one doesn't need convertion of PSOne's ISOs, it runs *.iso without *eboot.pbp conversion :o

let me get this straight....it's 3.51, but in an OE fashion, made by Russians, themes still work, no known report of as of yet, same installation as an OE aswell, and we still get our OE functionality + 3.51 features......i think i'll try this in a bit :)

btw: i could NEVER get PSX games working on 3.40, could someone direct me tell me what to do and direct me to what i need to get them running...and if they'll work on 3.51M33?

I was on the lan.st irc and jas0nuk said that the Russian coders reverse engineered a Dark_AleX OE firmware, so this must be why it is nearly the same as Dark_AleX's firmwares.

The system_plugin_fg.rco (which I believe replaces the battery icon) crashes my PSP, everything else I've tried works fine. When I use this .rco my PSP crashes for example if I try to access the Memory Stick in the photo menu. Can anyone else confirm this?

so im tryin to figure this out. is there any downside from updating my PSP Firmware from 3.40 OE-A to this new firmware? what are the differences?

Yes! That seems to do it for me too.

Has anyone else tested the remote play feature? It seems it won't let me changed the 'communication settings'.

I've followed the installation notes to the letter, but when the 3.51 M33 FIRMWARE CREATOR gets to the Writing 3.51 firmware... part the PSP just seems to hang there with the mem.card light flashing on and off constantly.

Is there an easy installer for this upgrade? Or perhaps even a clear guide? :eek: :confused:

Here:
- 150.PBP (original EBOOT FW 1.50);
- 315.PBP (original EBOOT FW 3.51);
- EBOOT.PBP (EBOOT M33).

Instructions:
1 - Format the MS
2 - Conect the PSP to PC and select the Driver and click Install
3 - Check if the archives: (EBOOT.PBP/150.PBP/351.PBP) was coppied to the folder (MS:\PSP\GAME150\M33CREATOR).
4 - On the PSP run the "3.51 M33 CREATOR".
5 - Now run the 3.51 M33 UPDATE
6 - When it's over press X and turn your PSP on Again
7 - All done, your PSP is Fw 3.51-M33.

Ok not everything is working!
Some WiFi homebrew are not working. I was able to get PSPVnC and PSPRadio to connect to my network and work perfectly fine, but Quake2 I have not been able to get to work. I keep getting a "The game could not be started 80020148" error.

You have to have the latest version of PSPRadio

nvm my post i fix it by reflashing 3.51 m33 and instead of replacing the sytem-plugin_fg.rco i left the default one and my theme now works like a charm so theres that seems the battery icon dosent work on 3.51 m33

NintendoGuy - will that installer work if I'm upgrading from the D_Alex's 3.40 OE-A firmware?

(The "Writing 3.51 firmware... prompt has been running for 20 minutes now...)

it failed me :( my PSP keeps reading it as "Corrupted Data, cannot run" [3.40 OE PSP]

Did you change any settings? The only thing I've done is copy over my theme from 3.40 which seems to be working fine...it's only the remote play. It works, but when you change the settings it doesn't save them (stays at setting 4).

I've upgraded, and I'm glad!

I didn't say anything at the time, but when DAX left I was sure that the PSP scene would die. But we still have noobz and such, booster, 0okm--lots of greats, and now, these russian guys which is wonderful.

I think maybe the PSP Hombrew scene will live on a little while longer...

Finally made the jump from 3.10OE to 3.51OE M33
Everything seems to work ok.
Installation was fast and painless using my magic-gate supported memory stick.

The only plug-in I use is the antiupdate.
It didn't load the first time I ran it, but thats not unusual from what I was used to in 3.10OE

The ps1 game FC LAPD plays fine but it looks like the 3.51 pops emu has a dithering filter in place for this game now... at least it hasn't crashed yet...

Onward to finally being able to use custom menu's now... sweet.

There's no difference between 3.40oe and 3.51 m33 in that respect.

Lol calm down. What's new? Well it has all the Official 3.51 firmware features. And everything else is just like the OE firmwares. I read in a thread back there that it looks that it has a little improvement on POPS[yeah PS1 games work]. But that could have been improved on the Official firmware..Brief: Worth it. ;)

I've figured it out...the OK button under communication settings is gone when I use my custom theme. Dunno why though...
