the only thing is that the mp3 files are too low... they should be louder

I don't think it's the loudness of the mp3-files. I think the speakers of the PSP are quite.... shit.
I buied a radio with audio-cable plugin, so the sound of my PSP comes out of my carboxes. It's quite nice :)
thank you deniska :D
i din't find it with search option :D  (K) :P
gonna try this if now...
i will reply about the results
I'm having problems with the new version... i have 3.40 OE-A with a PSP-290. i got the usbacc.prx & usbgps.prx files from going to recovery mode and copying them from the flash0/kn folder and put them into the ms0:/psp/game/mapviewer folder (with the eboot) but everytime it starts up it is still saying it cannot load the usbacc.prx file and that GPS will be disabled.
ive been all over the net trying to figure it out i got the id storage repair thing but i dont have a ta-82 board so it wouldnt run
also in recovery mode, i have the kernel set to 3.40 and the game340 folder in psp wont list anything so i have the app in the game folder
@shaun try the prx's from another firmware version.
Also try to use 3.52 M33 Firmware.
I've had some trouble with 3.40 OE-A too.
Shaun, format Flash1 with a formatter tool found on dl.qj.net
Maybe it helps.
you may have trimmed too much off the end, take an x-acto knife and try to scrape some of the plastic around the base of the headphone jack, don't remove too much because you can make it loose. same thing happened with mine, but after "lengthening" the jack again by trimming the plastic housing around the bottom, the psp was able to recognize the gps signals again.
yup you cut too much, you just wanna cut starting right at the bottom of the "mushroom head" or what I like to call the "tapered tip". you want to have about two millimeters of contact left after the second insulator.

hi this is the second plug i tried cutting.. tats exactly 2mm but its still not working. :(
and if i din cut till this point, i wun get any sound at all.. anyway my psp is TA-082 does it make a diff?
which firmware do you run?
3.03 OE-B
i'm sorry deniska.. but has the software gotta do with it? isn't it a mechanical thing?
certain things are required in order to activate serial port.. they can be firmware related...
that's wierd it looks like it should be cut right... mine only has about 1mm on the end, but 1-2mm is ok from what I've heard. It must be something to do with the firmware then maybe.

wat are the firmware u guys using? 3.40?
edit
hi guys i updated my firmware to 3.40 OE-A still a no go.. so maybe its the TA-082 hardware setup?? i was thinking of wiring one of the ext speaker directly to the audio plug. u think it will work?
not sure if that will work or not. i am using 3.52 M33-4
please. update localization.txt for traslation new menus
and fix GPS time
thanks
I have tried almost every fw, and it has always worked for me.
i can't take a screenshot in mapthis v0.5? after i press the screenshot button, i can't find the picture
look in the PICTURE Folder of your PSP.
If the Screenshot isn't there, then look your mapthis and mapthis/system folder.
EDIT:
@deniska in next release ... is there any possibility to assign a "hotkey" to switch between Nightmode and Normalmode?
Because pressing the Right trigger - waiting - pressing - waiting ...
I cant take screenshots either. I have looked in both folders and its not there.
I am running 3.52 m33-4 and Mapthis v.5
I can get to night mode by hitting the D-pad -> button that changes from north trac, track up and 3-
D mode. after it goes through once in normal color the next time north up comes up it automaticaly goes to night mode without me having to do anything in the config.
Can someone help with screenshots?
@Mystheryman
i look at everywhere, but still can't find it. i can take screenshot with mapthis 0.499 not 0.5.
by the way, iam using 3.52 M33-4, and i even try 3.03 OE-C too
can this version able to tell me where to go when i'm using it? or just follows where ever i take it to.
hi all:
I have been going thru the last 10+ pages try to find an answer but so far no luck. I hope someone can help me solve this problem. Please email me privately if you have the answer. Many many thx.
condition:
1. I got a PSP (originally 1.50 then upgraded to m33 3.52-4).
2. I got a PSP290. I don't think there is a diff where I got it.. it is from eBay from a US address. Is there a Japanese or European version diff? (which leads to my questions at the bottom)
3. mapthis is 0.5 (1 yr anv edition).
4. both usbxxx.prx are copied from the firmware's recover dump.
5. I can load up the mapthis no problem. Didn't get any problem reporting the 2 prx don't work. I can browse the map and etc.
6.PSP290 seems to work too (5 min or so I will get 3+ satellite if it is sunny weather)
problem:
Latitude seems correct. But longtitude seems to be a problem. I live in Vancouver BC Canada. It is also kinda close to Seattle in the US. According to the map I made plus additional google map search. Lat/Lon for Vancouver is around 49.xxx w123.xxx etc (not 100% precise but around there). This is what I see on the mapthis software when I move the cursor. Now the GPSInfo screen gives me a completely different format for lat/lon. I checked the reading on the GSPInfo screen (blue text screen) it gives me a lat of 49.xxxx (ok) but lon is 30x.xxx (it is a 300 something number with no west or east). Therefore if I turn on GPS mode I will constantly get an error popup on the screen saying the location is out of range even I am currently pointing at my home's location on the map.
Theory:
1. I thought 30x means it is within a range or 360 (degrees). So if I subtract 180 (half of the circle assuming that it means east or west then I will get the right value). At first it sounds ok but then I found out it is always off by a number of 3. 3 degrees on the map is a huge distance so my assumption is not quite correct I guess.
2. The coord I get seems constant so it is not giving me a random values. And it changes if I am in a diff location.
3. Is there some configuration I missed? Everything on the config on mapthis is default.. I am afraid messing them up will screw up something. Or the map need to be created differenly? I use google map with GMDL0.51
4. What's the values of everyone's unit displaying? I once saw a screen shot of the GPS info screen and the screen was green (not blue) and it was showing the lon as west xxxx.xxx so it is definitely different from mine.
5. I am running out of assumption ... except that my PSP is haunted? ;) Besides the wrong lon reading everything seems to be working...
Please help... pls pls pls :(
make a PSP > PHOTO directory
There it will save your screenshots.
@lavino
i'm from toronto and i had the same problem before with longitude. i used the prx from my recovery but it didn't work. Try using a different prx it worked on mine
@lavino,
This has been covered many times... - older (below 3.03) usbgps.prx version has a bug which makes it unusable in western hemisphere.. (the thing was only intended for Japan)
Just get the most recent prx...
http://img234.imageshack.us/my.php?i...erarrowjd7.pngjust want to share this, i replace arrow with mini cooper in 3D mode
nice
Could you do this with a Seat Cordoba 6k in Red Color?
Then I will be your biggest fan ^^
HY Deniska. Your Map- App. is really great, but needs a lot of memory. So i had an Idea how to solve this Problem: Couldn't you write a Program that generates "vector-data" instead of image files? Perhaps you could use googlemap's routes-generating function and implement it into a new programm that generates different routes from a selectet area and writes the vectordata in a special output-file... I'm sure that vectordata could be the key to a faster and better "psp-homebrew-gps future :D " ... the biggest problem is that it would be a huge work and this needs a lot of time (if it is technically possible)... btw.: anyway, thank you for the great gps application!!! I hope, you or some other psp-gps enthusiasts will take care of this vectorproblem in future !! :D
Thank you everyone for your input. Humm I think I solved the problem by grabbing a download link from this site that has the prx (it was quite a long search for prx files). What's weird was that the original prx I got was 3.52 yet they don't work so I guess the firmware update for my m33 is probably a japanese one.
Anyway, thx a million, and I got mine working. Now I need to learn how to use GMDL properly...
Oh got another question... why the PSP290_TEST program crashed me out to the menu when I run it? Mapthis works and etc and I copied the camprx folder to the root of the MS and the 2 prx files next to the EBOOT.PBP. I could take a peek at the green screen then it automatically kicked me out. Not that important because now I got the mapthis fully working with the PSP290 anyway but curious to know.
I don't know if you copied camprx folder in to the root of your memory stick.. if you did and it did not work - perhaps the provided prx files are incompatible with your current firmware version...
