The expansion added 4MB of memory to the n64 but things are looked at a bit more inaccuratly. In the front slot. The chip in there by default is a 4MB DRAM module. The expansion pack was a 8MB DRAM module. So reall you swaped out a 4MB pack for an 8MB pack (not that you added 4 megs to the original 4).Quote:

So basically, they just provided more RAM and more space for save games?
Woot. I am starting to finaly get somewhere with textures!!
More info & pictures to come later.
Great news...aw man...none of us could've expected you'd get so far so quickly, keep it up!
Even more good news, hope you post those pictures soon.
PS. When did you start this project?
Yay! This is awesome, we've almost got textures fully working. :)
Ok there is still much more to be done but I am getting somewhere. I still need to handle other bitmap modes (need to convert the asm src to c) & still do the funky byteswap & interleave setup the n64 does on textures.
Yet other then that rectangles look to be texturing correctly now. I'm getting close to what I get in a opengl plugin if I dont byteswap the tiles on load.
So here some new pictures. Hopefuly this weekend I can figure out the rest. :D
Now thats progress, good work PSmonkey.
 ... :) ...
