no one knows if it works on 2.80?
why don't u try it?
or u could downgrade...
Am having trouble, it says i need a gba bios image thing, can some1 send me 1, or give me a site to 1 :)
have trouble with playing super mario world 3, yoshis island, is this normal? Because, when i select a new file the game crashes and i just could come back to the gpsp menu.
Greedz
Seelbreaker
€: I've looked up the list and have to say, that the speed is great (jep on yoshis island it is better then on Snes9X TYL ;) ) but it crashes when the intro begins, it looks like the complete intro is totaly buggy, i've got some different intros because of pixel errors ^^
1. where Yoshi felt into nothing after his first jump (couldn't land somewhere). <--- This version comes in 3 or 4 Color versions :P
2. Yoshi jump on a pixelblog and has next on his left side a pixel blog where he couldn't pass and want to press it away.
3. Yoshi jump on a pixelblog and is going to walk to the left into "water" and stands then still.
btw. how does it works with other GBA-Emu?... thats the nasty thing on it, but i hope that it would be soon fixed *crossing fingers*
So... look like you have to get the Games playable hm? <--- Would be the greatest thing ever!
Anyway great work =)
then so much for downgrading huh razorak? so since no1 else said something im guessing that this wont work on 2.80 huh?
Stop being lazy and try it its not exactly hard to download a few files to your PSP! There aren't many people left on 2.80 as there are three different options for downgraders now. You don't even mention what motherboard you are on so I can't recommend a specific one to you however here they all are:
2.80 to 1.5 non TA082 (Dark AleX)
2.80 to 1.5 for TA082's (0okm)
2.80 to 2.71 (0okm) then 2.71 to 1.5 (Dark AleX)
JKKDARK is probably referring to the fact that if you can't be bothered to try this out yourself we wouldn't hold up much hope for your ability to downgrade....
Good luck.
well then, not to be rude.. but how about instead of trying to talk tough to me over the internet, how about you tell me what motherboard i have? i open the umd door, and i checked the top right and left of the motherboard, and there are no numbers there :) so how about you help out instead of trying to pick a fight?
all i did was ask for a yes it works or no it doesnt, and when u are running a 56k connection downloading 2 files is like a 600lb man trying to run a triathalon so i just asked for a little bit of help b4 i left my computer on for 2 weeks downloading something that wouldnt work in the fist place. so again all that i just said up there wasnt to be rude, but you came at me with an additude without knowing the situation on my end, so if you can tell me what kind of motherboard doesnt have any visible markings on it and then tell me of a sure-fire way that i can downgrade it with 0% risk of bricking, please let me know
Well sorry if I was a little rude but this isn't the PSP Help forum its the PSP News forum. If you had posted there then I wouldn't have had any problem in helping you. I'm getting a little fed up of people posting pointless questions here that have been answered a million times already.
As you seem a polite enough person and I appreciate that here is some information to help you.
so you definitely don't see anything like this?
http://www.askdavetaylor.com/0-blog-...psp-pcb-id.png
Or like this guide says?
http://psp.about.com/od/homebrew/ig/...code-photo.htm
Well you can use the rough and ready guide to identify your firmware by your box code:
http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-genera...007-28718.html
By determining what it initially came with you can get a rough idea of what motherboard it should be.
At this point, it can be said with confidence that:
* F and below - is definitely not a TA-082.
* G and H - is probably not a TA-082.
* I - is far too likely to be a TA-082; core or value pack are equally likely.
* J and above - The likelihood of a TA-082 increases but is not universal.
If you'd like to be more definite about it you can download a little app that will tell you if you have a TA082 motherboard or not from either Dark AleX or 0okm (it might also be included in the easy downgraders that have been released too).
Here's the manual way to downgrade from 2.8 to 2.71 for all motherboards.
http://0okm.blogspot.com/2007/01/fw2...079086_02.html
Make sure you have all the correct files and read the guides before attempting.
well going by the box code method i have H, so do you have a link for a downgrader that wont brick my psp? and sorry to bash on you, it was a long day and i was a tad bit mad at the world for no reason, also, if you dont feel like filling up the news board with these posts my msn is [email protected] if you wouldnt mind helping me out there
No worries, its at the bottom of my above post it will downgrade 2.80 to 2.71 for all TA079 - TA086 motherboards. From there you can install either HEND for 2.71 and use dark alex's 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader if you have a TA082 or his generic 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader if not, both at www.dark-alex.org
Make sure you read all the readme's and have all the files you need before trying this.
Good luck (Sorry I'm off to sleep now).
ehh, was kinda hoping i wouldnt have to do that and i could use an easy downgrader but i guess they arnt around yet for 2.80 users, so i downloaded all the crap i needed but i am a little confused, anyone wanna help me out with it?
Hey i downloaded the Emu and my PSP say's that i need a bios image where can i get this:confused:
can someone tell me how to sue the gameshark or give me a link to the cheat section on how to use the gameshark for gpsp cuz pokemon is the shyte
I finally got around to messing with emulators and I have to say so far gpSP is the best of the bunch I've tried. The ui is very intuitive especially in regards to the save/load states which I've been using the heck out of with the Rayman titles(although I wish there was a faster way to return to the game without scrolling down but it's not that bad since it only takes a second).
One addition I wouldn't mind seeing would be a way to save screenshots. Checking the documentation I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. It looks like you basically have that down since when you bring up the menu you get a (reduced) shot of what was on the screen at the time. The ability to write it out to memory stick would be nice though.
Other than that I don't really have any ideas for improvement. Keep up the good work!
Oh also I am running it on 3.03 OE-B with no problems.
Is there zip support in this? I tried playing a zipped rom and it didnt work. I thought .zip was supported in previous versions, correct me if I;m wrong.
I dont' have any problems with zipped roms. Maybe you used one with password protection...
If it is a rom over 30 MB, then that could be your problem...

Thanks!
keep up the good work!
i hope you release 1.0 sometime =)
Final Fantasy VI Advance (U)
Final Fantasy VI Advance (J)
DONT WORK
I got Final Fantasy VI Advance (U) to work. It has some graphics issues but it definitely works. Maybe you got a bad rom.
i have encountered the same issue with both the jap rom and us... i found an addition to gpsp's game_config.txt on a jap website and tried tweaking it to the us version... still no luck. i'm not a dev, so i have no chance of fixing this problem.
if you can sit in one place for a long time (unlike me) they run fine on the PC emulators...
neone know why my version of kingdom hearts chain of memories (E) m5 or my kh chain of memories (u) wont work?
it just closes the whole emulator out on me
try a different rom.Kh:com works good for me.
yea i tryed that n it worked tnx dude ^_^ yay kh chain of memories on my psp rockin!
Did Exophase ever announce if he is working on a 1.0 of his emulator. Havn't heard a WIP or anything in a while. Well iether case its definently the greatest GBA emulator for the PSP, great work Exophase. Even though you heard me say that before =P
A while ago he said that he was happy with this iteration of it and was going to see about helping people get it onto other systems. In that process there will probably emerge some fixes, but afaik there is no solid plans for a 1.0 release. Maybe he'll come and give a word on this.
Hopefully he will come out with a new release. =/
I love this emulator and would like to see it getting improved by the man himself. Don't want to use the crappy mod.
Please Exophase, you may take your time for it but don't stop working on this wonderful project. :o

check it out guys i got many many copies like 20+ add me on msn if u want a copy or just bid !!
[email protected]
Well, i must say that Exophase emulator is not just the best gba emu for the psp but one of the best written emus for the whole psp :)
NJs CPS2 and Sonys PSX emus are the only others that can compare with gpSP high quality emulation!
someone who doesent agree? then u dont know what u are talking about! :P
