It all began so simple, come with me if you will. Flashback a year ago. I was online looking for a translation for Tenchu on the PSP as all the text was in Japanese. I found the translation, and then some. On the bottom of the page was video tutorial of how to run Nester J on the PSP, naw. I linked to it and low and behold some chap had the blasted 8-bit Nintendo on the PSP!!!. After a rocky start I got it running too. I was awestruck, my friends could not conceal their envy(still can't).It's like your first kiss ya know? Well I've been in front of my keyboard ever since and now look. Did you ever think that one firmware would launch homebrew, backup UMD files and the current update!!! Friends, we are a part of a Rennassaince, a new era in gaming if you will. can i go back to 1.50 after this is installed if so how?
If i have a TA-082 2.81 FW psp, can i do 3.02OE?
Use the recovery menu to launch the EBOOT in Game\RECOVERY and put the 1.50 update file in the same folder and name it UPDATE.PBP and the other recovery files come with the 3.02 OE rar file. It'a all in the readme.

I dont know if this has already been posted by anyone, but I just updated and was having trouble with homebrew and was getting the blue screen when I tried accessing the System Settings. Then I realized I had a UMD in the drive, so I popped it out, tried loading the System Settings again, it crashed as usual, however I was able to restart with the O button and upon reboot I was able to reverify my settings and now everything works like a charm.

disable all of your prx's cause they wont work with the firmware to my knowledge

yes you can play ps1 games. so far i have only tried crash bandicoot, which worked perfectly
DATA.DXAR took over an hour on my psp but its worth the wait , yo'll see
DATA.DXAR speed depends on your memory stick size and type i believe. i used a 1gb sony high speed (the ones with the red stripe) and it took 5 minutes
No, there are no custom firmwares for the TA-82 boards nor are there any downgraders for 2.81 so that you could install it. Sorry man.Quote:

in which folder do i have to put the psx games??
My firmware shows up as "3.02 OE-A", or whatever, but I can't run any homebrew. It only recognizes the "GAME" folder, and not "GAME150" and "GAME302". Did I do something wrong..?

The web browser wont work for me I get the sblue screen with the different launguages on it like when ur setting get erased. Everything else is fine though. I boot strat into iRshell and can use devhook for the browser.
Homebrew and UMD's wouldn't load for me, for whatever reason. I think I'll stay with SE-C for now, but this is amazing progress, nonetheless.
press the O button when you get the error of the blue screen and reboot. that will fix it(i guess)Quote:

yeah,recovery is in the game folder..but it doesnt load through the Game Menu,to load,turn off your PSP,and boot it holding the R button,that will lead you to a purple screen,thats the Recovery mode,you can change many options there.
No just change the kernal from 3.02 to 1.5 and everything will work fine.
This is making great progress thus far from what iv read..
BTW does anyone notice that the news post says "3.0 OE" when its really "3.02 OE-A" this really should be changed....

I installed this on my PSP. The flashing process is pretty much identical to the 2.71 SE flashers except that it wants you to manually reboot after flashing. The firmware itself is great. There are no bugs that I've seen yet, and all of my emulators are working great. I would reccommend installing this fw 100%.
Hi, i have Pulp Fiction UMD region 1 and tried it on this firmware on my PSP but it wont work even with all options enabled in recovery
nah recovery menu doesnt work cauz it wont turn on. any ideas?

Try launching psp browser if it gives u bsod u have corrupted flash1
ok so i bought my new psp it has 2.60 on it you can move this to a diff forum thred but how do i put home brew on it without gta or how do i down grade...could you put links to good downgraders or homebrew apps. thanks
