if its still the factory set you cant ,but mine
was updated to 2.60 so im good .

PSP-1000, FW2.5 JP (factory)... will this work or do i need to update to 2.6 (i read something bout factory fw = bad)
Well, you will have to if you are thinking of using the downgrader. After all, your trying to downgrade to 1.5, so it will need the 'dump'ed files from it.Quote:

I say if you know exactly what your are doing (not a newbie) and have the 1.50 dump, go for it like I did. If you don't know exactly what to do, don't try and wait for the new eLoader. This is just my opinion so if you are very desperate, go ahead and downgrade.Quote:

You don't need the EBOOT, you need the 1.5 firmware 'dump' which is all the files in the EBOOT. You can find the firmware dumps from some sites such as psp-hacks.Quote:
