How do you rip psx games?
How do you rip psx games?
Opps i mean games needing 2.81 fw on a 2.80 psp.
How can you tell if your disc image is PAL or NTSC?
got the pops to convert and all that crap... but when i go to launch the game.. it says the game could not be started (80020321) i looked through the forums and im looking again to make sure i didnt skip a page but i cant find anything.. every1 else has the error (8000200001) or something like that... any1 know whats up?
@EzrailCHAOS: If you got your games from the USA, then it's NTSC. Otherwise, it's a PAL.
@Dpithcorenass8: Have you tried putting your EBOOT.PBP in the /PSP/GAME folder?
yes my keys and eboot are in ms/psp/game/"anme" folder tried 2 games re3 and ff7 same error...
i shall explain only once
1- have your iso image ready
2-place your iso image into the same folder as the popstation file is found
3-place the hotshot golf2 eboot along with its KEYS file into the same folder as the popstaion file, rename the eboot to BASE.
4-get the cygwin.dll file and put it into the same folder as the popstation
5-(if you want to) put the pic.png and icon.png(i dont know if you name it that) and put it into the same folder alond with the popstation file
6-go into your command prompt
7-type in cd desktop/the file directories and hit enter (remember the file directorys have to be changed to the folder name of where the popstation file is being held in) then hit enter
8-type in popstation name of iso.file extention then hit enter
9-the converting process will start then you'll see a eboot file in the flder where the popstation file is
10-create a folder in your game folder with the ps1 games name
11-place the eboot along with the KEYS.bin into that folder and your all set.
ya i said i did all that just like u explained from reading the like first 10 pages of the thread... this is not a problem with maken my iso an eboot. this is a problem with loading it on my psp.. i get the error game could not be started (80020321) i looked it up.. so far i got because of a certain hdd it cant read as fast but i dont have that specific hdd so im ok. another is turning no-umd mode off. not sure if mine is on checken now...
Well I have evrything here and the game ready to go but I got one Noob question Don't I have to have 3,02 OE-A Installed before this because I believe it says you have to and Im honestly clueless on how to download it and I don't want to brick my PSP.
if u have 2.71 se-c (which you should cause it was awesome) then u have recovery and should not be scared at all. i should no i bricked my psp while haven 2.71se-c (thank god) and just reinstalled 1.5 fw on it. u need 1.5fw and 3.02fw also the 3.02oe-a download. follow the readme its not hard at all... takes about 5-10 mins to finish all up after u put everything on your psp. after installen 3.02oe-a just download oe-b and place the folder in your game150 folder go to xmb load it up 2 secs later done u have oe-b
So we need to actually own a PS3 and buy one game and get its subsequent keys to make this work?
And how does this benefit the scene whatsoever?
Added:
Not to sound like an ass or anything, but everyone has been coveting 3.02 OE-B as the GOD of firmwares and to be honest, if I need to buy a PS3 and a PS1 game I'll never play to begin with to make this work, how is this firmware any better than 1.5? We got a PS1 emu that doesn't require us to buy ANYTHING.
Yeah I have everything for 3.02 OE-A (All the files) So wish me luck :P
Have you tried going into Recovery Mode and changing the kernel mode from 3.02 to 1.5?
Can someone tell me how to run 2.81 games on a 2.80 psp??? pleeese
shouldnt my kernal be at 3.02 since the psx emulator is in 3.02 fw?
no u dont have to buy a ps3 read the damn forum...
what game to u effin wanna play that needs 2.81 fw... lol use devhook?
I want to play project8 and i cant get devhook to work??
I don't know if this has been questioned before, and if it hasn't I don't think it'll be answered. But here goes... How to play games on multiple discs? Do you merge them into one eboot in some way or do we have to save before disc change (not all games support this I think) then change disc eboot?
if u have the umd... y dont u just update to 2.81 from that and devhook is not hard to install if u can install on 2.8 not sure i dont have :P
Uh YEAH you DO. You NEED a PS3 to access the Sony Store to buy and download PS1 games to the PSP.... Why don't YOU read the damn forums n00b.
@Napalm-Death: Yeah, I see where you're going with that... Thought about it too, but I wanted to try RE this moment :p
Oh man, this has been such a great Christmas!:p
I just did th einstall and tested FF7 and is works(nearly) flawlessly. Gonna test FF8 and Castlevania:SOTN. Way to go Dark ALex!
I dont want to update cause i have a bunch of homebrew working on 2.8 and idk does it work on 2.81? and i havent been able to install devhook on my 2.8 has anyone else??
I heard you don't need a PS3 but Im not sure because I got 3.02 OE_A Working :D Im in the clear :D
uhh roffle no u dont.. NOOB there is other ways to get the files u need so u read up k thX
tried it nuttin.. :/ i might no what it is.. but im hopen its not.. i dont have a pro duo card... i got neogeo 4gb micro drive. it reads a little slower.. if that is it no worries cause my pro duo 4gig is on the way
The PS1 Game Hot Shots Golf 2? Sorry mate, acquiring, legally, requires a PS3. No amount of 'reading up' will rectify that matter, since Sony doesn't plan to change it until March at least.
But I will be the bigger man and let you slide on this one. I mean, you only have 7 posts, I can't imagine you are as well read up on the issues around here as someone with 800 posts...
I think the micro drive might be the problem since I heard at one time that people had some trouble trying to run homebrew on it.
I say, if you have at least a 1 gig memory stick hanging around (not the fake type), do the conversion of your PSX games and see if that makes a difference when you put them into the ms:/PSP/GAME folder.
IIRC, there's a downgrader for 2.80 if you want to take the risk. Check this out --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=46877
I have one final question for the Updater...How do I get it to work >_< Because I get the message "The Game could not be started (80020148)
The downgrader is for non-TA-082 motherboards. Open the UMD slot, and look for the number C1003 on the right hand side on the interior of the PSP.
If that number is present then you have a TA-082 and CANNOT downgrade. If it isn't there, then downgrade at your own risk, but if something happens, don't blame anyone around here.
roar i thought i found my 512 stick but it wasnt it :( guess ill just have to wait till my 4 gig arrives
