NesDS

hey guys,

i'm trying to get NesDS to work on my DS, but it always says "no roms found". i followed these directions in a stickied topic:


Download NesDS from here:

1.Unzip nesDS.zip to a folder.

2.Add ndstool.exe to the same folder as nesDS.

3.Run make_nds.bat. This should open the nesDS.exe program.

4.Add .nes files to the program by clicking on the folder icon.

5.Click "Save..." and save the file as "nesDS.ds.gba".

6.When it says "Done", click ok. The program will exit and create a file called "nesDS.nds".

7.Rename the file if you want and then copy it to the Max Media Dock/Player. Run it from the Max Media menu.

Follow these steps and you should be able to get it to work. Be sure to limit the number of .nes files so that it will fit in the RAM.

I only put in 1 nes file. Do I need to put in more? Or is my DS firmware just too old? (I bought it a month after it came out)

NESDS will not work on Max Media Player, it will work on Max Media Dock as long as you are not using a 1GB SanDisk CF card.

As far as Firmware is concerned, I don't know, I have the DSLite.

metroplex2k7 where you able to get it to play with your dslite and how

a guy in the post said he uses max media player and it works for him. the instructions do say "select it from the max media player menu", so it must work.

also, the program itself works, it just won't detect the roms.

what does the 1 GB sandisk card have anything to do with it? My friend has that and it works fine in the dock, nesds and all. Weird.

ah! theres the guy who got it to work!

is there anything i'm doing wrong, or does my ds have something to do with it? and just in case, can you send me a working version with mario bros and zelda 1 on it? (like via pm or something)

hoping someone can help me.... I can't seem to download the ndstool.exe progy. Is the site down, if so temporarily or for good? Is there a mirror anywhere?
