Availability and price are a big part of it. My work only recieved 8 PS3 units, but got 99 Wii's (Yes 99 :) ). Nintendo must be enjoying this launch, plenty of units being made and easily the best launch lineup (ZOMG Zelda).

the 360 surely cant be outselling the wII and ps3,, those numbers must be a collective since the 360s launch date:cool:

The gap between the 360 and the PS3 'n Wii will close up REAL fast. Especially the Wii, seeing as Nintendo are actuallu able to get a decent number of units out. If they did indeed manage to launch 4 million by the end of the year, that'd be great for 'em!

That's all very well, but it's not like Sony has sold it's full allotment of 488,000 units, it isn't sold out EVERYWHERE, so Wii's initial sales victory is more then valid. While price is a factor, that doesn't discredit Wii's sales victory any.

The fact that they've sold 734,000+ with everyone of them making profit means Nintendo's laughing all the way to the bank. Even with a mere $10 profit, it means Nintendo's just earned a whopping $7,340,000 profit. Personally, I'd be pretty happy if I earned that in 3 days! 7 MILLION dollars. Haha, Sony's probably lost that amout XD
