PSP won't recognized 4 GB memory anyonre

So, this is what happened: I bought the memory stick today. I got home, put it in the slot and played GTA: Liberty City Stories. After a while, I saved my progress. Later, I plugged in the PSP to my PC to update the FW (BTW, I haver version 3.50). I saw that only the PSP folder was present, so I unplugged it and reformated it. An error occured (800... something) so I resetted the PSP. When I turned it back on, the PSP wouldn't recognize it and so I plugged it in to my PC and it was as if the PSP was plugged in alone (w/out a memory stick). what should I do? Help would be deeply appreciated.

I should mention that my PSP had about 30% battery when that occured.

I would try reformatting it again. If you plug it in your computer and it isn't recognized, then your USB cable might be broken. That happened to me once.

Oh and downgrade your PSP, you'll love it much more. But fix the problem with the memory stick first.

if your psp wont reconize it then you are F'ed... happened to my friend before. do you think u can return it and get a new one?

Don't update to 3.51. If you do, you will gain nothing and will lose the ability to downgrade.

Do you have Lumines? if not go to your video store and rent it or buy it (not that great of a game) then just search around here or at QJ.net and there will be a guide on how to do it. it's quite simple.

lumines 1 btw so you dont get confused. but you still need a memory stick to downgrade.

You need to get hold of someone else with a mem card! all you do is plug your psp into the pc... put in a different mem card and it will install when its finished, unplug the psp swap the mem cards around and try your 4gb, it will work!

2 of my friends have PSP's but Ii'm not really that close to them :(
