and how is it that you are the only person that knows about this ? People like you should be banned.
@F34R:
what do you think is going to happen, if a real downgrader appears?
i mean, how are you going to know about it, if you just say "there is no downgrader"?

this uses the buffer overflow thingy... but i havent tried it....
My apologies. It was obviously not posted on pspupdates when I replied to your post. No need to call anyone names though. It isnt any loss to me, since I never upgraded from my 1.50.Quote:

so... does it work?
Has anyone successfully 're-upgraded' to 2.0 after downgrading to 1.5?
I can confirm it is 100% working i had a europe 2.0 psp it is now 1.5 they have finally done it what a great day!!!!
yes it works i have done it myself usa 1.50 thats was updated to 2.0 now rolled back to 1.50 sweet
If I wasn't such a wuss I'd upgrade then downgrade again, but I'm afraid of bricking my psp or screwing my chances of homebrew.
Nice though.
Quick question to the people that have downgraded. Does this remove all the functions of 2.0 including web browser and photo sharing? Thanks for the info.
To answer this question, yes it removes everything from 2.0 firmware. I have successfully downgraded from JAP 2.0 to US 1.50. I'm in the US so I was a little afraid when the updater said "Update Failed: Please contact Sony Support....." but after a reboot of the system, it went through the same process that it went through when I turned it on new and for the first time.Quote:

It is a great day in the PSP Dev/Homebrew Scene!!!!!! :D
Can one of you who downgraded to 1.5 please try and upgrade to 2.0 again ? I'd realy like to know if it works 100% before trying it.
Thanks already
i can't download it :( its on a site i can't ever download from can some one PLEASE host this some where else
It works!European psp 1.52 updated to 2.0 then dongraded to 1.5,great job!thanks! ;)
the ROOT of the mem stick is the actual drive letter.
So if your connected via USB to your computer, in USB mode, your PSP shows up as X:/ (where X is your PSP drive letter). You would put those files in X:/ (where X is your PSP drive letter).
So, mine is F:/ (my psp drive letter). I would just double click on F: and place the files directly on the PSP in the F: drive. example:
f:/h.bin
f:/index.dat
Hope that clears it up.
thanks anyway!
thats crap it came from this website http://www.sonyxteam.com/index.php
the downgrader works both ways, say... if you have 2.00 then roll back to 1.5, you CAN safely reupgrade to 2.00 the offical site warns about

ok..ive followed all the intstructions TO THE LETTER yet everytime i try to run the "update" it says "The game could not be started." (80029148).
help?
well, you must have messed up somewhere, i nice guide i found at
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=11365
maybe you downloaded something other than the 1.5 update eboot? read over and make sure you did everything right
i know i did. ive done it three times. same thing everytime...i guess ill just..try again...
whoa um...i just checked my system info..it says i have..version...1.0..which..cant be..true....this is.......weird............
yes, the the actually downgrade exploit only really changes the psp to make it think it is a 1.0, while it is still a 2.0
if you did everythign right so far, you have to make sure you download the 1.5 update eboot file, save it in MEMORYSTICK:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP
all in caps too i believe,
and run the update from there, if that doesnt work?
mk...well...ok...
well...i did all that..but it still says "the game could not be started"....hmm...
hmm...there must be something wrong....i would probably have nothing on the memory stick except the needed files(just to be safe), make sure they are in the right areas, and try to download the eboot.pbp file from another source? maybe the download got corrupted? anyone else have any suggestions?
i have no idea what the problem is...i formatted the card and everything....there must be like..one thing different from my psp than everyone else who have tried or soemthing...something thats not switched right...or something...i dont know....
hmmm i did evrything just like the instruction .now i check my psp version its 1.5 but i still cant launch any emulator or homebrew ??, what happen ????
Now thats quite strange but not uncommon, a few people have reported similar findings.Quote:

i did as it said and go to check the version .it is really 1.50 but cant launch any homebrw or emulator
To those who get errors with there homebrew games: I made the mistake of taking a html file into the games folder aswell instead of just the game file.
Just so me and all the other Homebrew/Downgrader Newbies understand, Here's a small list of questions:
(1) Does the downgrader work on all PSP's (JPN, USA, Euro & UK).
(2) Can I Re-Upgrade back to V2.00 so I can use the Web Browser.
(3) Will the downgrader 'Break', 'Damage' or 'Brick' my PSP.
(4) Or should I just wait it out for V2.00 Homebrew.
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Up to you
Let me clarify #3.
You are asking if the downgrader will break or damage, or brick your PSP. This can happen when using any homebrew application, as well as official applications. If you dont do it right, you can brick your PSP. If you dont upgrade to 2.00 properly you can brick your PSP. Basically, you use it at your own risk, the same as Sony's Official Upgrades. Nothing is 100% safe.
Thank You.
All is now clear.
Now do I dare
it works!
