Favorite Dreamcast Games

Hi, I apologize if this topic has already been made before, but what are some of your favorite Dreamcast games?

My personal favorites are Soul Caliber, Grandia 2, and Sonic Adventure.

It's a hard choice, because i like so many, but my all times favorites have to be -

• REZ
• Powerstone + Powerstone 2
• Crazy Taxi 1 + Crazy Taxi 2
• Soul Caliber
• Sonic Adventure + Sonic Adventure 2
• House of the Dead 2
• Marvel vs. Capcom
• Bangai-O

I could list alot more, but thats roughly what springs to mind.

My faves in order are probably:

Soul Calibur
Rayman 2
Ikaruga
Samba De Amigo (how can you not love it?)

I also have a soft spot for Gunbird 2, Quake III and Worms (Armageddon or World Party).

My three favorites have always been:
Super Puzzle Fighter IIX, Bust-A-Move 4, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs Zeon DX

Soul Caliber of course..

So much favorites, but here are my top 10.

1. Sonic Adventure 2
2. Jet Grind Radio
3. Crazy Taxi
4. Shenmue
5. Powerstone (Powerstone 2 wasn't that good IMO)
6. SeaMan (I liked it just because it's so fun to mess with him and ask him mean questions using the mic)
7. Soul Caliber
8. Samba de Amigo
9. ChuChu Rocket
10. Space Channel 5 (I'm not joking)


I really want to try Skies of Arcadia soon, it looks f***ing awesome. And I also want to try Marvel vs. Capcom 2 as well.

Shenmue 2. I replayed i all the way through a couple of months ago and it is still a fantastic achievement.

i really hope it makes it onto xbox live / wii ware with online play

tbh id consider buying a ps3 if it came onto psn

I'm surprised it's not made it to XBLA or one of the other networks too. It seems such an obvious choice for an arcade game and I'd imagine it would be one of the easier games to port over.

NFL2k2 was one of the best Dreamcast games let alone football games :). You could spin and dive like 10 yards and it was really responsive to your movements...classic.

WEll in the homebrew scene someone ported a good copy of counter strike
I dont own a dreamcast but CS on dreamcast looks cool

I love me some Jet Grind Radio and Skies of Arcadia.

You can tell i am new to the forum replying to a 2009 discussion but i love the favourite games for a system threads! :-)
People tell me Soul Calibur is the best DC game but i would say it is the best conversion of an above average arcade game.

Shenmue is definetly an great experience worth a shot, Also if you like RPG's give Omikron: The Nomad Soul a shot. It's got quite an interesting plot
