Portable VNC v1.2.1 working now on all FW ! (except 2.7)

Hi All,

Here is a new version of portable VNC working with all firmwares (but not 2.7 :rolleyes: )

What's new in this version 1.2.1 :

+ Modify wifi connection handler to work on 1.5FW
+ Check wifi switch on startup

** Many thanks to KingPSP to help me to test it on 1.5FW ! **

Thanks also to Yoyofr, Bigal90 and DeMoN X for their help.

My contribution on this app is minor (only code rewritting to fit new interface of PSPSDK, and copy/paste wifi code from psp-ftpd). I just wanted it to work on my PSP 2.5.

Portable VNC is distributed under GNU licence, and sources are provided with the archive.

don't blame for that if someone get a hombrew working on 2.7 it will be a big new it won't be inside the new that portable vnc got working

cool. If only I had a wifi connection in my house...

I'm sure everyone realised it didn't work on 2.70... just like no one has asked whether it works on 1.51 & 1.52...

Has anyone tried this on 1.00 yet? Usually, when people say something works on all firmware's, they have tested all fw except 1.00...
Just look at how many umd loaders and firmware loaders say they ARE 1.00 compatible... it is so depressing... :(

If Your Pc Had A Tv Tuner Card And U Used This Program Do You Think You Could Wach Tv On Your Psp With It Or Is This Just For Sending Files From One To The Other Without A Usb????

Perhaps, but with lag and no sound ... so it doesn't have any interest for this purpose. VNC client is used for remote access to your PC.

With VNC you can't send file, it's only a tool that display the screen of the PC on your PSP. :)

ok...i have fw 2.6....i boot up the program, then i pick the connection and do all the stuff on the tutorial (psp v1.1 tuto) but when i connect it says: cannot connect

error -1/116

do i need to mess with the TIGHTvnc settings?

I'm a home brew n00b stuck with 2.5

I've installed TightVNC and already have my PSP configured to connect to my wireless network.

What I need to know is, wtf do I with the files I've just downloaded?

Looks like this will be a lot of fun, cant wait to have a mess around with it.

Well first off it says you will need 1.0 or 1.5 Firmware which seems not to be the case anymore :)

then it says copy the content of 1_5 to my I:\PSP\GAME folder

I dont have a folder called 1_5 to copy anything from. I'm thinking I'd need to copy the contence of fw2.x but then what do I do with the stuff in the src folder?

Yes, you have to copy the content of the fw2.x folder.

The src folder contains the source code if you want to modify or recompile this app (which is not your case as far as i understand). So just ignore it.

Edit: I'd also like to add that I'm using 1.2.1, I tried both the 1.5 and 1.0/2.xx eboots but get the same result.

DHCP doesn't work on this version .. i will patch it for 1.5FW as i've done few minutes ago for psp-ftpd, and then release a new version :).

I get a This game is corrupt and cannot be started. The data is corrupted.

I am using firmwire 2.60
I also tried it on 3.1 but that gave me the same error(I know it only works 2.6 below)

any solutions?

I seem to get the data corrupted error on everything I load to the psp...

you need an eloader or a custom firmware to run any homebrew ;).

I suggest you to have a look on fanjita web site:

I'm on 3.10OE-A and when I start it I get to the point where it shows the connections...but that's the problem.I get a no connections please add and then it exits when you press ok.I dunno what to do...I put the game kernel to 1.5 and the vnc and vnc% in the game fowder and nuttin changes.Please help!!!email:[email protected]

u have to press r while rebooting the psp and set the
game folder kernel to 3.10 oe kernel ,
it should get u past that screen at least
