Iris Characters

For anone who needs more characters, this is the site for you.

All you need to do is download the .exe of the character and tell it to install to your Iris directory.
Then delete the files that are not needed e.g sounds and extra skins.
Then re-save the skin as skin.tga and the weapon skin as weapon.tga.
And if needed rename the Character.md2 to tris.md2.

is this compatible with the quake 2 for psp aswell?

can someone rename and delete everything then put it as an atchment because i started doning it but its alot of work

Well, I have gotten a new player model to work with iris following ur guide, but when i used it i can c the character, but no textures! It says falied to load weapon.tga and falied to load ski.tga, what am i doing wrong?

Make sure theres a weapon.tga and ski.tga file :p

Still wont work.... I have a weapon in tga format, a skin in tga format, and a tris in md2 format and weapon in Md2 format! Still dont work, cant load textures it says, i got one weapon to load but not the skin file!

textures dont seem to work but the graphics of the characters are still visible, so i got player models with no texture atm just outline

yeah I can c the models to but no textures, also how do i no which skin is the real one and which one is the extra skins?

if you open them you can see various parts of the body however the yoshi one just has random dots for the nose

Yeah but there are many diff skins, does it matter which one i use?

its not as easy as eng said
1. u need to have faststone image viewer and photoshop.
2. open the character skin and wepeon skin in faststone and save them as tga images.
3. open photoshop and turn them into rgb 24 bit images

that should do it
but if you want some already done then check my sig

Sorry for the spam but has anyone heard anything about the Master chief that that kid is making. Has he released a beta yet? BTW iris looks great and hopefully it will only get better in the future.

He released a map and master chief model (IMO master chief looks too tall).

Ey wasnt ENG going to redo all the models to Iris compataible? Its been some days now and im still waiting....

I don't think ENG was, but fakenotreallie said he was going to do it. I'm still waiting too :(

hey,i've just come up with an idea of a map with tree forts up above the ground with bridges connecting each one,its gonna be called....tree fort! i haven't started yet,just got the idea this morning

Could anyone make a map that has lots of tops of skyscrapers, so you could jump from building to building and the floor of the level could be made to look like th city below.

ugh,mine doesn't have a picture on the website,and im almost finished with my new house map which has a lot more things and better housey textures,but i can't finish the map because photoshop,qtkradient and the build dont work!

I was totally thinking about making something like that this morning, but unforunatly the whole month of june is really busy for me so i wont have much time to make any maps. Basically I have only the weekends to make new ones.
Oh some other ideas for maps are like a giant warehouse with like catwalks and crates everywhere. I also think it would be cool to make like a map of my bedroom and have the guys be like the size of action figures, might be fun.

one problem, what would hapen if you fell off the buildings?

you would be stuck at the bottom

that makes it even more fun and eng could you upload my new and improved house 2 house map,you can delete the other one

Maybe it could have fire escapes going up the sides of the buildings, so if you fell down, you could climb back up, anyway, i hope someone could make it.
