it specifically mentions it works on all versions.
depending on your version probably decides installation instructions.
like if you have an 082, you solder to one point, if you have an older version you solder to another point

Its not really a firmware related thing Vetta, but different setups in the hardware. I really don't think changing something in the firmware could stop a hardware mod like the chip, but future hardware tweaks by sony could atleast delay the release of another chip for that revision.Quote:

yeah...we'll just have to wait and see about this "exclusive compatibility" issue... but seeing as the xbox thing went I highly doubt it will be an issue at all.
