Help me please, I have been trying this downgrader all morning over and over again, i have done it about 200 times now.
No i havnt got a TA - 082
I have formatted my memory stick
i have restored to default settings
The wi-lan switch is in the off position

Just keep trying, it's just luck I guess. Don't reformat your Memory Stick anymore.

i just tryed it on ma 2.71 and it downgarded the psp now i have 2, 1.5 psps and iam about to downgarde ma cousin's psp.
ive been off for a while, have i missed something??? i thought there was no 2.71 downgrader... if there is, ima jump up and down and scream like a retard, record it on my webcam, and post it on the internet so u can all laugh at me. jk, but ill be happy :)
i think i saw a easy version of the downgrader released on the front page...maybe u shud try it?

it has to be 2.71, else it's a dam high chance of bricking(almost 100%), i dun think it is worth it to be impatient.
Yeah, I was just hoping that i didn't have to download it. Dial up sucks! I started downloading 40 minutes ago and still have 30 to go. Thanks for clarifying.
that sucks, and you also need to dl the downgrader, another 40 minutes..:(
dude do u get wifi where u are? cuz if u do d/l it on to ur psp, it will be WAYYYY faster...that is if u have a hotspot, well either way good luck with the downgrade :)

Sorry if I sound like a noob but what is an TA-082? And how do I check if I do have it? Sounds bad.
Ta-082: Open the UMD door, and look right at the top and if on the right hand side there is "IC0003" (in gold writing), then don't downgrade, since your bricking chances are 100%.
When I downgraded, I tried it 3 times, switched it off, and removed the battery. I put the battery back in like 5 mins later, and it worked first time :)

i figured out the problem..i had a wallpaper then i formatted my memory stick but the wallpaper was still up..it made it crash all i had to do was take the wallpaper off
its on the red screen
