Ok thx for answering, have there been any OFFICIAL 3RD PARTY dc games not shooters since 2005?

As i consider homebrewers a 3rd party for their software and hardware genius, im asking above if a registered official 3rd party company released anything besides shooters since 05.

Perhaps i will label homebrewers/hb as a "4th party".

During all these years there were only two shmups made that were not published by Sega of Japan, namely Last Hope (+ Last Hope: Pink Bullets) and DUX.

Shmups are "smash them ups"? Like beats of rage engine games?

How come your not counting homebrewers aka 4th party makers games like street fighter final fights or others...on that list...im just curious. So only 2 non segaofjapan shmups were released since then thx for info i;ll check them out.

Since there only seems like 3 people on here lately can you guys comment in yabause saturn on dc thread, i posted a question about ssf running on dc playing saturn games on dc but cant make my own threads wtf.

I've listed commercially released software, not freeware.

And "officially registered" is none of the active Dreamcast developers. The last officially licensed Dreamcast game was Karous in Spring of 2007, and it was published by Sega of Japan itself.

ok well by "official" i meant a company like a 3rd part ycompany makin dc games...i understand homebrewers do but i call them 4th party. wow i didnt know sega of japan licenced a 2007 dc game, kool.

Are there any 3rd or 4th party 128 bit games not shooters lately ? Im getting tired of my 16 bit 4th party library, maybe if this shooter is 128 bit ill buy this 3rd party games, its the most recent ever dc game yes?

I played it for a couple of days now. To me, it's very hard, even on "Novice". However, I'm very bad at Shmups, so that's no wonder. Nice game though, I really suggest everyone buying it. Support the Dreamcast scene!

Although Fast Striker was made by German developers it's very much Japanese-styled.

Yes, currently it's the newest Dreamcast game. However, there's another German developer working on a game called Sturmwind, which should come out in spring 2011. Sturmwind is going to be published by redspotgames.

thx, its a shame sega.com forum dont count these as official dc games even though there 3rd party and official the mods there are picky. i luv that 3rd and 4th party / homebrew still make dc games. 10 years after dc launch.

whats a 2nd party, like am2 division of sega?
