Devhook emulating 2.6...

Man, I feel like the noob now. Does anyone know where I can find a version of Devhook that emulates 2.6 without crashing when you put the GTA UMD in? I've tried the ultimate installer and a bunch of different versions with no success. :(

buuuut i think you should do the reboot umd option in the boot select it wont crash dude

well if your using the gui mod it may not work.
gui mod is very unstable so i dont use it any more :(

Hmm... before going to 2.71 I didn't have a problem. Maybe the firmware is of European or Japan origin and the UMD cant play because of region lock

i find all the good releases at psp-hacks.com forums....i didnt look, but perhaps its a point in the right direction :)

for instance, i found the complete 1.50 dump w/ the 2.71 stuff there...

Yes, it's for Cheat Device. :) I'll try getting an older pack, those didn't have any problems before.

why dont you try my idea? lol i think geting thiings from psp hacks is ALWAYS good

did you make sure to change it from loading an iso to umd, the devhook ultimate installers always seem to do that for some reason

Yes, it was changed from iso to UMD. I'm just going to try an old versino of Devhook...

hehe, didnt think youd forget but there are some that would so it was best to make sure. could it be the firmware dump rather than devhook itself by any chance? that is if the older devhooks dont work for you

It's the only game I have tried (because it's the only game I like that needs 2.00+). I just tried the Ultimate Installer v1.1.1. I installed Devhook version 0.46 with 2.71 (you have too) and then installed the 2.6 dump. When I tried to launch the 2.6 dump on my PSP, it didn't even start! It just crashed. :mad:

just use 2.71 then :rolleyes:

i use that and it works fine for loading my gta umd ;)

ill try getting one of my 2.00+ games to work (itll probably be monster hunter unless i can get gta fixed) then ill pm you the dump
