If it happens good news but...isn´t the coder getting the chip or chipped psp tomorrow and is going to try her downgrade idea? Pretty bold to say it will work if it hasn´t been tried yet, but I´ll keep my fingers crossed for all 2.80 users.

my wife is going crazy she has been buging me to downgrade her psp and i keep telling her she has to wait cause she had upgraded a week b4 2.71 downgrader came out she has been pissed ever since
yo man, im getting a psp soon too but i am going to look at the back of the box to see if i can find a fw 2.5 or lower, if they release the new downgrader then that will be good for people that have 2.8, but what will it downgrade to? since the new psp has the motherboard will it downgrade to 2.5?
if u live in the USA:
at walmart only, tomorrow early in the morning so that it doesnt get sold out (because of black friday, PSPs are 170 USD). i suggest u look at the back of the box, look for an individual letter: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, or H will do. H=FW 2.5, then you can downgrade. anything above H may have the motherboard and will have a higher firmware

We need 2.80 suppoort for devHook (non-iso). I purchased Marvel Ultimate,and Iam waithin' patiently toplay it ...
People who have TA-082 psps cannot downgrade

Have you tried playing it yet? I thought that people have been able to play any game they want on devhook even though they may require more than 2.71. I suggest you try it.Quote:

A 2.80 downgrader would actually be a pretty big step for the scene. With 2.81 & 2.82 not too different than 2.80, it could maybe lead to someday being able to download even 2.82 PSP's. Downgraders are very dangerous though so we should keep a close eye on this development if it turns out to be real. I would be thrilled if turns to reality.

Dude, I can play that game on my 1.50 PSP via DevHook 2.71 firmware emulation. 2.80 DevHook is not necessary for that game or any game yet for that matter. Well, except for Cabela's Safari.Quote:
