Virtual Game Maker DS V.90 released!!

Yes, the moment has finally come...
This is Globoeil's christmas present to you!

VGMDS V.90 was just released December 24 at midnight GMT time!

This is a program very similar to RPG Maker 2000 for the PC, but it is made for the DS! You need no coding experiance at all to use this, and make your own rpg games for the nds. This is your chance to present your own homebrew game to the DS community!

Whats New

-3-step animations (Like in RM2K)
-Pages 100% working, with conditions (switch, having object, etc...)
-Full switch system
-BONUS: themes for VGMDS
-BONUS: Now you've equipement!
-BONUS: The interface has been improved for event instructions.
Now you can copy/paste instructions and edit them.
-BONUS: Added a map-error-scanner in VGMDS!
-BONUS: GameOver screen & music!! (When like<=0)

ALL PAGE-RELATED BUGS HAVE BEEN FIXED, all problems with event & hero collision too (better gameplay & speed).

Change hero graphics instruction
Change event graphics instruction
Change general variable/switch instruction
Change hero attribute instructions
wait instruction (freezes the games, or freeze the event
change hero walking speed (instruction, or setting? If its an instruction, then I can make my character press a certain key to activate running)
add equipment intruction
remove object instruction
remove equipment instruction
Show picture instruction
Teleport Event
Play animation (on event)
Play animation (on hero)
Move other event/hero
Move (for x pixels, not squares)
Move (square): approach/escape from hero,random

Advanced variables
Fork condition instruction
Save in VGRDS

It seems to boot on devices that are not usually supported like the MMD, but it doesn't see any folders available to load from. :(

works with DS-Xtreme but the colours are like 8 bit the tiles are. >_<

doesn't seem to work on my R4, is it normal?

EDIT: It does load the program, but doesn't load the GAME.VGM, it says: Error while opening, you must open a valid game.vgm file in project folder.

i tried working this for the MMD (All I have for now.)

It wont let me access any files. So i cant use this. Can Anyone help me?

i can't run this =\
it should be placed in the root dir or the projects should? i open the program, there are only one file named Empty, i can't open a project, can't select the dir of the projects, or create a new project.

It seems the project has moved to Computer versions instead of just on the DS. The website says that it may be released for Wii,DS and PSP at the end but who knows.

Last DS only version was .098, he never released 1.0

All files and folders go in the root and all .nds files need to be dldi patched.

but, how do i create my own projects, i only could open it. :confused:
the new game folder open again the zelda game...

can some one give me a tutorial on how to make an RPG game with it it only has load game on it no new game or any thing please help i have a dsi with an R4i gold

The newest released version is v.99 but it has been abandoned.

Extract New Game folder, VGRDS.nds and VGMDS.nds to the root of your card.

Extract Zeldo Demo folder to the root of your card.

I'm sure the R4i auto patches.

Run VGMDS.nds, press "B" and highlight New Game folder.

This is the game editor and you can play around with it. There are no tutorials that I know of.

Press Left Shoulder to switch screens so you can select terrain to use to draw the map.

It's pretty cool and hopefully the new version he is working on will get a DS port but now that seems uncertain.

you see I have that one and when ever open that folder thing it says;error while opening project!you must open a valid project folder(invalid game.vgm)press a.what do I do did I press the wrong thing or something beacause I mean i am kinda:confused:.when I downloaded it and put it on my ds there was tons of stuff to press.:thumbup:please tell me or write me a pm
