i wanna buy my wife a psp. she likes the pink one from success HK but the thing is that i want to be able to downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.03OE - like mine - but i dont know what firmware the pink one is and Success HK have not replied to the email!
does anyone know?
also what is the highest firmware that is downgradeable right now. i have ahad a 1.5 for so long that i was never really bothered. i know you can downgrade 2.71 what about 2.8+?

any 2.8 is downgradable, TA-79, TA-82s, and TA-86s all downgrable as long its 2.8 or below, im not to sure what the firmware is though
i thought success HK tells you what firmware it is
im sure that since its new, it should have the latest firmwares..
i heard they were TA-86s.
0okm recently released a downgrader for 2.71-2.80 TA-86's, so all yew can do is order and hope.

Go to store, buy it, come back 20 minutes later if its not 2.8 or below and say that you purchased the wrong thing and you want to return the item.
i think that it could come with 2.81 or 2.82. not sure tho. try contacting HK and ask

i have found a pink one in uk online store called argos that is 2.81 but that is $300! it is £160. UK is crazy prices.
Buy her a white one she'll probably appreciate it just as much

ok so the P!NK umd is going in the bin or ebay and i will give her my old 2GB card - i love 4GB!
but the psp is 2.81. is that downgrade-able?
i know that 2.8 is.... or are they the same. i presume not.
oh and she loves it to pieces. even if she can only play lumines 2 on umd right now

the only reason i got a pink psp from argos online uk is because they are selling it cheap as it is last stock. so you get all that stuff for £120 - everywhere else you look on UK sites like Amazon etc it is £150+
i was going to buy from HK as it was only $198 but that was basic pack with no extras. for the sake of an extra $20 i have now got her everything else.:thumbup:

Maybe is the wifi card cause the pink psp is a TA-086 and those have different wifi card but I don't think that will affect it cause its just so it doesn't over heat.
yeah i been. this is getting off topic now so lets leave it, but fact is that if you search web and look and UK store prices and compare to USA, USA is always cheaper and mostly the difference is significant. i am not saying UK sux... just that it is an expensive place!:pQuote:
