I can't stand 2.81..
You can dowgrade from version 3.03 if you have an unpatched copy of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories game.
Don't have...won't get it...but is there one for 2.81?
That's the only way to downgrade.

Seriously, man, don't be obstinate. They probably won't ever make a 2.81 downgrader, just like they never made a 1.52 downgrader. There is no point in waiting for one. Upgrade to 3.03, rent an unpatched GTA:LCS, and downgrade that way. It is a generic downgrader, so you don't need to worry what your motherboard is.Quote:

Well the wont be one for 2.81 as there is already one fore 3.03. Just borrow a GTA or rent one. You can buy it for like a tenner now anyway

If you decide to give and downgrade via GTA, when you buy or rent the disk, the unpatched version will have 2.00 update data on them. Patched ones have 2.60.
Another way to tell is by looking at the serial number on the or game disk or case spine. ULES-00151# are unpatched, ULES-00151#2 are patched.
well, i doubt there will be any unpatched for sale. rentals have unpatched mostlikely

Ive just been to the one in leicester. They have over 50 copies of GTA:LCS in stock. And guess what...ALL UNPATCHED lol
Ive just brought 5 copies, reason for so many copies is have to send some over to frends in other countries that cant get them, Each and everyone i have brought is unpatched!!!
ONly £14 a copy as well!!!
I dont intend on playing it so once i have downgraded some frends at work psp's i dont mind sending it on to anyone who needs it and cant get to the shop CEX.

Sorry to drudge up an old post. I am helping a friend downgrade his PSP. He has already upgraded to 2.81. Is the GTA method still the only method that works in this circumstance, or has another one been released? I haven't been paying much attention to the whole downgrader thing since I am happily content with my PSP at 3.10 OE.

There will never be a 2.81 downgrader. What you can hope for is an exploit on a higher fw that doesnt require gta.
Yes GTA is the only way to downgrade a 3.03 so just get the game and get downgrading.
there was a gta lcs unpatched on ebay 4 $550 and i got mine 4 only $25
