Dark_Alex's Popsloader plugin released

Dark_Alex's new release is a prx that, with the help of psardumper, will allow you to chose which firmware version of popstation you want to use with your games. This means you 3.10 oe-a...ers will be able to use 3.11's emulator.

This plugin enables 3.10 OE and higher, to load every pops from 3.00 to 3.11

Instructions:

- Copy seplugins to the root of your memory stick.
- Using the latest psardumper mod from team c+d, extract the firmware you desire using the
"Decrypt all" function (press square) (this is important, because of changes of keys, previous
firmwares modules may not work encrypted).
- Locate these modules in the FO/kd folder: meaudio.prx, pops.prx and popsman.prx (Note: in 3.10
and higher, meaudio.prx doesn't exist, so you don't need to locate it).

Copy the prx's to the directory /seplugins/popsloader with the following names:

* 3.00: meaudio300.prx, popsman300.prx, pops300.prx
* 3.01: meaudio301.prx, popsman301.prx, pops301.prx
...
* 3.11: popsman311.prx, pops311.prx

- Enter in recovery menu, and enable popsloader.prx plugin.
- The first time you run a game with the plugin enabled, it will ask you which pops to use.
After that, it will save the configuration so the next times that game is loaded, it will use
the same pops. If anytime you want to change the configuration, press R while booting the game,
during the warning screen.

that's pretty cool. but why is there a 3.11 emulator when DAX hasn't even released 3.11OE yet

Sony releases the emu's not DA haha, this lets you use sony's 3.11 emu on 3.10 oe

DAX isn't gonna release a 3.11OE as it just corrects a stupid bug with the emulator.

So is the emulator improved a lot in 3.11?

when compared to say the one contained in 3.03

I have 3.10 OE and changed the pops version to 3.11. Now my psx games won't load...

Are the issues with FF7 fixed yet? I am still on 3.03 using the 3.02 pops plugin, not sure if its worth the upgrade to 3.10...

Also, where can you download the latest psardumper mod from team c+d?

pspupdates has it, just search for 3.11 in the file section. I haven't tried FF7 yet, I will in a few minutes though. I am guessing you want me to test the battle swirl/cursor? Or did you mean FF8?

-edit- Still no battle swirl but the cursor works perfectly.

You need to extract the data.psar from the 3.11 eboot with PBP Unpacker... just like updating to a custom firmware.

if u guys go to psp-hacks.com its a automatic installer that does everything 4 u.once it finishes just enable it at the recovery menu.then every ps1 game that loads it ask u to choose a plugin 3.00 all the way to 3.11

it also be good if we can start a new compatibility list for which pops plugin play best with the selected ps1 title:thumbup:

After a bit of testing Popsloader, I can say this thing works sweet!

I used the easy installer for the prx's... too damn easy to have them all in one place...

yea, guyz, if you want a 3.10 installer, use the files i uploaded. it even has a recovery menu. also, the files are untouched*, meaning nothing has been edited or anything. this has been tested about 3 times from me as well. i used the recovery menu a lot since my psp bricks a lot cause i sometimes use those flasher programs without reading the instructions. this shows that you should have a custom firmware with a recovery menu. anyways, if you would like an easy 3.10 installer with the 1.5 and 3.10 us eboots and instuctions, use my super (no pun intended) fast ftp server:

also, this is not advertising (i really don't need or want to advertise my website anyways), but this is to help all you people out here at dcemu who want to install 3.10 easily.

Just wondering, but couldn't we just flash the 311 pops into the oe firmware with the options in the recovery menu?

someone with more experience please let me know if yes or no.

I keep getting the game cannot be started message when i try to load 'crash team racing' but all my other games work. Im on 3.10 OE-A' now but used to be on 3.03OE-B and it worked.

What should i do???

I got this prx working and its good. I think its sweet that we have 3.11 PS1 emulation on 3.10OE-A.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, but isn't the EasyPopsLoader version linked here illegal? It contains the various PRX files already decrypted.

My CWCheat doesn't work anymore...Did somebody got this problem?.:(

Is it just me or does FFVIII refuse to load on all POPs?

Not sure I dumped my own FF7 3 Disk.
And it plays perfect .

I am using 3.10 with pop 3.11 and FF8 works perfect:thumbup:

I feel sorry for the guys who didn't read the readme file first, ouch!!! That's a serious issue, a ton of good games won't work without that plugin. Kiss your MKtrilogy.....goodbye.

Castlevania Chronicles: screen turns black when you lose at the end of level 2 or at level 3.

Game doesn't freeze as i can actually hear the sound going on it just shows nothing.

Tried on every pops version with no luck. Compressed and uncompressed.

Castlevania SOTN works great (i'm at 60 % of the first castle) compressed at level 9 with pops 3.10 or 3.11

i used the easy installer. Then opened up my recovery and now my fianl fantasy 7 wont run just ablack screen can anyone help me plz. I doesnt even show me the option where i can choose wat popsloader i wanna run.
