Christian Group Preps To Attack Wii

A tipster sends word that The Porn Talk, a site backed by a secretive faith-based ministry in California, is prepping to attack Nintendo's Wii and other gaming devices, calling them "portals to porno" in a press release.

In the press release, leaked to Kotaku today, The Porn Talk founder Mike Foster does his best to stoke up some fear about the Wii saying that even though the device has parental controls, "parents don't see a need for them because they are unaware of the porn capabilities."

With a headline that reads "The Wii's Dirty Little Secret," the story's caustic tone is more off-putting than what little facts are presented. The full press release is on the jump.

I find it funny that a site that seems to go to so much effort to hide its ties to religion and ministry work is using the phrase dirty little secret.

Oh COME ON!!! Attacking the Wii cause you can use the Internet Channel to view porn is not fair!!!!
You can view porn on just about ANY gamming system and I don't see this so-called christian group attacking the PSP on DS. As I've said many times before it come do to the parents to keep a watchful eye of thire children! Attack this you fools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok for the sake of owning them, I'll assume that the Wii is a perverted machine used to watch porn. On the other hand, religion causes violence. In their delusion minds they would probably outweigh porn over the violence they create.

Yeah really, this is just a bunch of extremist assholes. You can't target all christians because of this or say religion is bad because some people go overboard.

Anyone, anywhere, anytime SHOULD be able to believe ANYTHING they want (Basically I don't give a damn what you believe in). My mom's a Christian F.Y.I (A very closed minded one at that).

An interesting story...

At my online Christian school (ironic ain't it), they have this chatroom. The occupants where discussing other religions, and how dumb their ideas were, and yada yada.

So, I got into the discussion, trying to show them that other religions aren't bad. They instantly jump on me, saying I'm stupid and whatever. Then I say "I thought Christianity was about love and kindness towards others, yet this doesn't seem to apply to you?", and I instantly get suspended from the chat room for 10 days. Since then, I haven't been back, since I do not feel like sinking down to their level.

there are a lot of "christians" out there that send out a bad message to the public. honestly anyone reacting the way you described is not a real christian. my mother is also a very close minded person and i advise you not to try and change her mind on the matter. i simply think you should hear what she has to say and take it into consideration as you make your own decisions as i did. just so you guys know i would render a guess that 70% of "christians" aren't. for instance if your a catholic your not a christian. im sorry if you thought other wise. technically the pope is an antichrist by definition.(anyone claiming to be god/christ is an antichrist) i will leave you with a few quotes by some popes: :D

the main point of Christianity is to get saved from hell correct? as a catholic what single act gets you to heaven? baptism you say?!?! why thats simply a good work towards god!! thats strange since Ephesians 2:8-9 said "For by grace have you been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works that no man should glory” what by that logic catholics arent going to heaven you say!?!?! why that would make them NOT CHRISTIAN!!

plus them considering mary equal to or just below christ is blasphemy in itself! jesus himself called mary WOMEN!! she didnt seem to great to him did she!?!

what you also say catholics think they EAT AND DRINK THE PHYSICAL BODY OF CHRIST AT MASS(mass means death in latin) EVERY DAY!?!?! why thats down right cannibalistic!?!

essentially thats the idea. if you believe in the god that really exists (not the fake ones like Allah) your in. you dont need to do anything else. its that simple. heres the thing though. if you REALLY believe your gonna be a better person and do what he wants as much as possible if you REALLY believe.
