Final Fantasy I Anniversary Edition includes english text

News is coming in from a few sources that the Japanese version of Final Fantasy I Anniversary Edition includes english text. So at the start of the game you will be allowed to select between Japanesa (two types) and English text. As well you will be able to change the language settings at any point during the game.

This is great news for people who do not wish to wait around for the USA release in two months.

I'll be getting this game sooner than i thought I would.

Hopefully the US version wont contain any extras that the japanese ver. would lack, kinda like Kingdom Hearts.

My copy already shipped out on tuesday. So if i'm lucky and the postal gods love me, I could have it as early as next week wendesday/thursday.

The choice of ENGLISH language is good news. I'll definitely be getting this game.

i didnt know that FF came out for the psp i thought it just came out for the ps2 and other consoles

Will thoes who love the salty sea stop and go on land to purchase the game insted of fishing it from the ocean depts.

It's only freaking $38. I would like there to be enought sales to generate the need to port 4,6 and maybe posibly 7 (no system prior who recieved FF ports could actualy play ff7, yet psp is the first perfect canidate to recieve a ff7 cleaned up port).

This is a remake of the First Final Fantasy Game. The second game in the series Final Fantasy II is also comming out on the psp next month in japan.

We are also due for a tweaked port of Final Fantasy Tactics and a brand new Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core game.

FF1 & FF2 are beign released under the "20th anniversary" line and there has been many hints that they wish to continue past 1 & 2.

It simply just means regardless if the names were inputed with english characters or Kanji characters, it will stay the same if the language is swapped.

So if I play in english with a character name of ABC then change to japanese, the name will stay ABC.

Many japanese games (including rpg) tend to let you input a name with english characters (a,b,c..) and not restricted only to japanese kangji.

That screenshot's... tampered with. The Japanese and the Japanese Kana selections are in kana, even with the English selection on. :P

And so far, the Japanese seem to have gotten the GBA translation and inserted into the PSP. :P Good game, though! :D

The game is comming to USA/Canada in two months. This was officialy anounced yesterday. I also believe they just recently anounced a european release for sometime later this year.

and man i have to say, the older FF games were slow imo compared to this one, the battle system isnt slow, its quite fluid imo.

Hopefully FFIIA is as good.

Also the european release date hasnt been decided, from what i hear, their still "Thinking about it".

But the NA release is in June 24th 2007.

also, if you live in japan than yes, you can get it this week

ordering over seas, depends on where u live.

at the trailer, it doesn't seem different from the original, or the GBA release, but I haven't play through on Final Fantasy I though
