wanna help me with this game?

I've just started with my first model for my game,
my concept is to make a game set in a weird ye old sort of setting... like Zelda! and i haven't though up much of a story yet, but i think it has potential.

the game will be made with bytrix's engine,
bytrix told me the models should have one texture maps, and (quake 4 biped?) have to ask him about all that, but he made it a little more complicated for me.
oh yer! my guy is 1170 'triangles' (cos of his hair)
so I'm looking for someone who knows about all this quake junk, and can model simple low poly models.

looks cool, i know some stuff about 3d modeling (i use to make models for warcraft 3) but i dont have the 3d program yet as i reformated my comp

that last ones forehead is so big its almost a fivehead!

anywho i cant code or make anything. im not sure why i here. i'll leave now.

it mostly because of the perspection, plus it was hard trying to make the texture higher so as not warp her eyes.

what's the highest the polycount can be in 1 load without it crashing?

i have no idea :D pm bytrix about it, i would aim for a polygon count of under 1000, but i've been counting it in triangles:D i work on one side of the object first, then copy the other side.
i think it wasn't counting the polys, just the triangles, until i learnt how to fuse the two halves together, which is really good. it also gets rid of that weird shade problem on the faces of my charactors.

by the way, are you thinking of joining:D :D :D

Well what program are you using to model?

I am using linux so it need to be in linux for or it need to be compatible with a windows emulator.

i use 3ds max 7....that will set you back about 600 dollars u.s... but if you want a free program try game max, it's like 3ds max but it's freeware, if that doesn't work tell me and i'll look up a good program for you.

does this mean your in? :D

Just to start off, Dark Heart, you are a very talented character modeler! From my experience, you should find an environmental artist, not another character artist because you have a unique style and alot of people won't be able to emulate it. Good luck finding a team member, but I'd def. start looking for an environmental artist!

looks sweet, i would love to help u but i dont know anything about coding, however if u can find some use of me fire away, beta tester maybe :) good luck and btw they look awsome
