Boy Nearly Killed Trying To Cool Xbox 360

A 14 year old boy from Brevard, North Carolina was nearly killed Sunday while trying to stop his Xbox 360 from overheating.

While his mother was away the boy had taken the power supply and wrapped it in plastic and tape. In an attempt to cool it off, he submerged it into a pan of water with the cord still plugged in. The boy had regained consciousness by the time paramedics had arrived. He was taken to the Transylvania Community Hospital in Brevard where he spent the night.
Aside from getting knocked unconscious the boy only suffered small burns to his right hand and foot.

that just goes to tell ya, never leave anything plugged in while submerging stuff in water... unless if you want to be crispy like KFC Chicken

Whoa, someone certainly was getting fired that day! That kid better remember not to put electrical items in water next time, especially when it's connected to the live mains outlet.

If you don't have the common sense to unplug stuff before dunking it in water, then you deserve to die. What amazes me is how the wires managed to reach the kitchen. (I'm assuming its in the kitchen where he surmerged the xbox360.)
I dont know many people who'd keep an xbox in the kitchen. :rolleyes:
