Today ive been informed by Kojote that he and the Bejeweled coder The Grey Matter were sent emails asking for the game to be taken down.
It seems that the owners of the Bejeweled game are to release a PSP version of the game and that by using the name Bejeweled it will harm sales of the game, also the homebrew game uses ripped graphics and they will need to be took off future releases of the homebrew game if renamed.

yeah, i thought there was some problems w/ that being an almost direct copy of the game.
i was playing it earlier, it's a quallity game, i'm glad i got it when i did.
i can understand the companys point, but it still sucks :)
if he just changes the name he'll be ok i imagine ... or spell it wrong so that when u say it its sounds the same :D
add an extra E into the name hehe.. BeeJeweled and add a little buzzing bee into the startup screen graphics... swap the graphics ( if they were ripped ) a tad...

If the dev wants custom graphics so that he can contiue this project, let me know, as I would love sound and animation updates :).

By the way, I found a copy of the original PSP Bejewled, and it does indeed work on the 2.0 eboot loader.

I actually found it awhile ago, when I first replied to this topic back in January. I don't remember the URL, and I don't think it would be completely legal to post the link on here since the game was withdrawn. However, you can find all kinds of stuff on Google.
