If you can't get an Ultra II 4GB from SanDisk, the stick above is the way to go. It would be nice if SanDisk would release an 8GB Gaming stick or Ultra II version.
The SONY sticks have slower read/write speeds and I hate waiting for large files to load onto them. And there is a noticeable increase in time it takes for SONY sticks to open zipped ROMS, .CSO Sega CD files, etc.
I thought 8gb was useless as the 1.5 kernel has a 4gb upper limit?
you can buy this anywhere for the same price
You can get a 4GB at your local RadioShack for $59.99 USD that way you have it right away and there is no shipping. Personally I bought one for $34.99 USD on Black Friday.
Not that great of a deal as you can get the SanDisk Ultra II 4GB for $6 more.
where would that be? does it ship worldwide?
The 4GB card is already 10x faster than the 1GB and 2GB, being so it is also faster than Sandisk's Ultra II standards (9MB/sec write, 10MB/sec read) . Therefor is no need to pay extra for Ultra II.
RadioShack is an American store, and I just checked and they don't ship worldwide. However, if you were going to ship it, you might as well go with SuperUFO. They are one dollar cheaper.
There is certainly no speed increase in read/write via the PSP using a 4GB Sandisk Ultra II vs a 1GB Sandisk standard (blue) card.
I have both and haven't noticed any real difference. 10x the speed is complete BS.
The cards may be better in cameras perhaps but the PSP doesn't seem to make much if any use of the additional speed.
Yeah they're no quicker
