Great news to hear, now my favourite homebrew application IrShell can run once again on my PSP under cfw 3.90 M33.

I'll try my Madden 08 in a while and tell you what I get, when I first tried it I just made sure it booted and then turned it off.

I got it working
Had to do more than just putting the file(s) in my irshell/bin folder
I took the pspbjtn_02(or something).bin and irspatch.prx files from my 3.80 m33-5 flash0 /kd folder (after i patched them from irshell) and put them in my 3.90 m33 flash0 /kd folder
I got iso's working IN irshell however Skype doesn't (via xmb) so im trying to find out if there's a way around it
UO gpsp kai 3.2 test 8.7 doesnt work when loaded IN irshell (freezes when you load a rom) however it does work when you launch XMB and goto the game menu it works but you won't be able to get back to irshell using L + SELECT (goes for most other homebrew/games i believe, not sure)
CPS2PSP and MVSPSP 2.3.1 doesnt work IN irshell either when you load a rom, it may freeze
Everything else seems to work... i don't use eLoader, don't care for N64 as the emulation is pretty primitive

exactly. the patch will let you run irshell on cfw 3.90m33 but to run no umd mode, you have to follow frosty's instructionQuote:

to use ir shell, you got to install a custom firmware on your psp: make a despertar del cementerio kit V4 with an other psp who have a custom firmware! this kit can install 3.80M33 on all psp, phat or slim!

files from kd folder are sony copyrighted! send it by pm is not legal!
follow this step by step instructions:
first install 3.80M33 5, then install irshell 3.90 and also the btncf patch for 3.80.
go to recovery mode, and take the 2 PRX from kd folder in flash0.
now you can install 3.90M33 with ir shell 3.90!
put prx from 3.80's flash0 in the 3.90's flash0! replace the files in IRSHELL/BIN with the files you download in this thread!

Ok is pandoras battery needed or can i just find a downgrader and download? to 1.50 then instal the custom firmware ...THEN install IRshell?
with Cfw 3.71M33, you can downgrade directly to 1.5!
but i don't really now for 3.90 M33!
fastest way for me is despertar del cementerio V4: this kit install 3.80M33-5, just what you need!

I have a big problem. I have a PSP Slim with firmware 3.90M33. Now I want tu use IRShell 3.90. I have read the FAQ and I know that I have to patch the Firmware Kernel. But it has no btncf patch for 3.90M33 only for 3.80M33. What should I do now? Can I use the patch for 3.80 or do I have to downgrade my cfw first to 3.80 then patch, install irshell and then upgrade again to 3.90m33?

swisstekk: you have to downgrade your psp to 3.80M33-5, install ir shell with patch of course, and then upgrade to 3.90M33!
don't forget to copy the files from 3.80M33-5's flash0!

actually your psp is running an Ofw sony 3.90! you have to downgrade your psp with a despertar del cementerio kit V4! this kit can install Cfw 3.80 M33-5 on all psp (phat or slim)!
to make the despertar kit, ask a friend with a psp running Cfw. or try to make a kit without any other psp (hardcore but it's work!)

I have 3.90 m33 and when I try and patch my IRShell to play ISOs through USB etc. the highest folder there is 3.80?
How do I get the 3.90 patch?
Follow (Frosty's) instruction, open kd fold copy prx's from my 3.80 m33-5, upgraded to 3.90 m33, replace bin prx's in bin - no fw check (Captain Morgan), open 3.90 kd replace the two prx's to the one's from 3.80 m33.
Iso want work,config in 3xx crashes system etc. What did I do wrong or i'm not doing right.
