[RELEASE] iR Shell 3.9 Patch #2 - Makes No-UMD Function work on 3.90 M33

As you may probable know, that since is the final release on iR Shell , some functions were not fully compatible for 3.90 M33, since it was released after iR Shell last version, now AhMan Fixes a bug and lets you use No-UMD mode on iR Shell (A.K.A Play ISO's on iR Shell)

UPDATE
There was a tiny bug in the previous fix where it wouldn't work if the original 3.80 patch wasn't on your memory stick. This has been fixed in the new file. Please re-download if you previously downloaded the file already.

What is it ?
This update makes iR Shell more compatible with CFW 3.90 M33. It skips the firmware check implemented by AhMan and will also allow you to install the No-UMD ISO compatibility patch under CFW 3.90 M33. The relevant info has been available on this forum for a couple of days now but I have finally been able to reach AhMan to allow me to post the edited files.

Note: Please be aware that some functions may not work properly and this solution is not fully supported !

Note 2: If you want to use the 3.71 memory stick driver under 3.90 M33 then you must apply this patch here before you install the memory driver.

Installation

If you already have iR Shell 3.9 installed:

1. Copy the "IRSHELL" folder from this archive to the root of your memory stick - OVERWRITE the files already there.
2. Install the 3.90 M33 No-UMD patch by following the instructions in the User Guide. The patch for 3.90 M33 is in /IRSHELL/PATCH/3.90


If you don't have iR Shell 3.9 installed yet:

1. Download and extract iR Shell 3.9
2. Copy the "IRSHELL" folder from this update to the iR Shell 3.9 folder - OVERWRITE the files already there.
3. Install iR Shell 3.9 by following the instructions in the User Guide. The patch for 3.90 M33 is in /IRSHELL/PATCH/3.90

I'm on 3.80m33-5 w/1.5 kernal /Ir Shell 3.90 is on my ms working perfectly. I want to update to 3.90m33-2. So all I need to do is update to 3.90m33-2. Replace Ir Shell folders, patch and that it ??????????
I have the UPMS and Pandora battery and could try.
But this is what a forum is for to ask and answer question.
Can someone help confer if this is correct for me.

Why does the iR Shell Configurator doesn't work for me?!

I did not install the No-UMD patch, and iR Shell Configurator works

thats cool been waiting for the update on ir shell 3.90

rip the mp3 prx out of this so we can have a seplugin on 390 in xmb,iso,game,pops, etc..

need that bad- mp3 plugin is non existent since 390

i installed the patch on my 3.90M33-2 PSP slim and it works perfectly just like in 3.80M33. thanks!

nvm, I got it working. SO now I installed remote joy and stuff, but when I go into full screen mode with it, it will only display a quarter of my PSP's screen. Does anyone have a fix for this? Is there a magic button that I should press?

The patch works for iso and cso files but when i tried to launch my PSX game FF9 it says

Error Loading Application 80020001
Click any key to continue

so it doesnt work for psx games? I'm on sony np9660 noUMD mode.

ISO loads like a charm.

This works great in the newly unofficial cfw 3.93 as well!

still psx games do not work inside irshell in 3.90M33, well lets wait if they update the patch for irshell

does this work on 3.95 GEN-2 for phat

i maybe stupid for asking, but by overwrite do u mean just use this irshell folder
or add the contents of this irshel folder to the contents of the original

hi im new to this but um i installed Irshell 3.9 but i got it to work on my 4.01m33-2 fw and in the configurations i set the thing to NoUmd-M33, but now Irshell keeps shutting down and causing my psp to restart so i desabled it using recovery... any help on this?
