i'd go with recent events like the search for obama and things like the twin towers basically current events i know there sad times but i think it would be cool to be able to relive them but have the possibility of stopping them in the game

How about instead of a single war follow the history of various special forces from WWII untill now.

I'd like it to be futuristic sci-fi type thing, perhaps based on the recent Battlestar Galactica series' Cylon War on Caprica with 2 storylines: a Rebel and a Cylon one so I get to be Toaster and resistance fighter in some interwoven tale.

Running battles in war torn cities, forest ambushes, battlestar boarding assaults etc - it would all fit well in to a CoD framework

I think they should bring Call Of Duty to the Gulf war, that way they can use relatively modern weapons and equipment, but have a story to follow and be able to create realistic missions, obviously made more dramatic, but nonetheless, worked great for Desert Strom.

Sometime in the near future, after the US is nuked, fallout will effect the entire US population. This will created a civil war inside a wasteland like atmosphere, where the government has collapsed and the deranged fight whatever is left of the sane.
