utopia boot disk

I have the utopia boot disk version 1.1 and i was wondering if u needed the mod chip to play burnt dreamcast games. I have used discjuggler, nero, alcohol 120, and bootdreams and none of them work. Thsi is what I do for discjuggler:
1. File-New
2. Burn CD and DVD images.
3. Select my drive that I have the blank CD-R in.
4. Source-Get my cdi image.
5. Advanced-Mode-Mode2
6. Put the burn speed to 4x.
7. Click Start.

Whenever I put the utopia boot disk in it says replace with CD or something like that.
After I replace it nothing happens except that the Reindeer turns like to a chroem color or silver or something.
I've used nero adn alcohol 120, I just don't remember the steps.
What am I doing wrong?

The game is probably selfboot meaning Utopia Boot CD isn't required and won't work. Just pop it in your Dreamcast.
