If the guy can't even work out the downloading of the downgrader, he's gonna brick his PSP.

^
It wasn't that i have used mega load many times i tried downloading it again and it doesn't ask for a password anymore.I had to try downgrading it twice but i have 1.50.I was worried though i would never replace my old psp that got stolen.
I'm new to the whole firmware stuff so what do i do if i wanna play a umd that requires 2.71?
1. Use DevHook 0.46.
2. Update your 1.5 firmware to 2.71 Special Edition Revision C firmware (2.71SE-C).
Your best bet is to use option #1 but look for the ultimate installer, as it will automatically put the necessary files onto your memory stick.
Option #2 is a little more involving, but not too difficult if you look at the README file. Also, the advantage of doing this option over option #1 is that you don't have to emulate the 2.71 firmware (hence the name 2.71SE-C) and at the same time, you can still play most of your homebrew.
Can I still play online with players who haven't upgraded to 1.5?
Ok if i use devhook can i still play the homebrews?
The downgraders won't work for 2.71 SE-C.
I have tried already.
I have also ran the 1.50 eboot from recovery... nothing.
I just want to co0nfirm...
This does NOt work with a ta82...
cRorrect?
alright i just broke my ****ing psp :/ im pissed, i had version 2.71 i didnt have the version that wasnt compatible with the program, i followed the installation guide... now when you turn my psp on the screen is jsut black and nothing else happens.
see if you want to run emulators or w/e its fun but its also risky cuz you could break your $#@! even though you follow instructions so just do it with caution.
ps. is ther any way i can fix my psp back to normal?
