Yeah, I was going to ask if a Catholic is the same as a Christian.

Actually, Catholic's are Christians... Just because a few popes in the past have thought they are higher than they are, doesn't mean that all popes think that.

I guess what they mean by their statements that whatever they say is equal to the word of god... Which I disagree with, but the point remains that not all popes think that.

And I'm SURE that hardly any Catholic's think the pope is god.

The only think I disagree with Catholics about is all this reveration for the virgin Mary... She wasn't special in herself, just because she had Christ as a baby. The fact that she was a lowly maid betrothed to a carpenter made the point that it doesn't have to be an important person to be chosen by God.

the main point of Christianity is to get saved from hell correct? as a catholic what single act gets you to heaven? baptism you say?!?! why thats simply a good work towards god!! thats strange since Ephesians 2:8-9 said "For by grace have you been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works that no man should glory” what by that logic catholics arent going to heaven you say!?!?! why that would make them NOT CHRISTIAN!!

plus them considering mary equal to or just below christ is blasphemy in itself! jesus himself called mary WOMEN!! she didnt seem to great to him did she!?!

essentially thats the idea. if you believe in the god that really exists (not the fake ones like Allah) your in. you dont need to do anything else. its that simple. heres the thing though. if you REALLY believe your gonna be a better person and do what he wants as much as possible if you REALLY believe.
