Joe88, I didn't even mencioned the motion control, witch is the last fotocopied "innovation" of sony.

Eyetoy was not the first camera too, but Dreameye, only launched in Japan. Blu-ray is just another optical-disc, first used in videogames in PC-engine. And what is Cell? A processor with graphic built in? That's creative!

I'm talking about everything. ALL this "so many great games and exclusives that no one else had" colud have been launched for any other mainstream in the marked, except if it was developed by sony itself. Then you see no one couldn't have been launched for Xbox, Gamecube or even Dreamcast.

In the other hand, sony's hype about ps2 made most of people think it was really the best machine in the market, when it was no better in power than Dreamcast. With 70% of market share, some of the great games lanched in the three major systems were all limited by ps2's power, limiting what could have been done in Gamecube and Xbox, much more powerful engines. That's the kind of thing we lost.

the dreameye is only a webcam
there where no games for it
just a webcam and nothing more

the cell is a 8-core CPU, the most computers can have on a single chip is only 4, its never been done before, and give each element of the game a core to use to create a new gaming experience like never before

also with optimization, you can make any PS2 game look like an xbox even though the hardware is away above it spec wise

a perfect example would be burnout revenge
you couldnt even tell the difference between the xbox and PS2 ver gfx wise, they looked exactely the same
another one is RE4 and the GCN then PS2, its hard to tell the difference in the gfx
and even games like gran turismo look like xbox games gfx wise

and whats the talk with dreamcast ?
    its dead, move on already

There are A LOT of Dreamcast on eBay.

And if you didn't know, there's a BroadBand Adapter for Dreamcast. Or you can do a PC-DC connection and use the broadband from your computer.
