Why dont you just code it instead of anyone else
Last night I was up on the computer searching for zelda oot level editor. Then I stumbled across a youtube video a a computer program called Zelda Ocarina of Time 2d. I found this site with a demo for it. Then I came across two articles saying that the programmer for the game died in a car crash. The other had a resonable explanation saying that he faked his death to abandon the project. Either way the project was abandoned. I brought this up because i was wondering what if this project was finished for not only the computer, but psp as well? I was just wondering if anyone wanted a try at completeing this project for the computer and hopefully even for the PSP. I have got the demo and it doesn't look as good as the one on youtube but could be fixed up. the demo is here:

I think this would really be a great homebrew game. Sorry if this is old or in the wrong place.

XD, OoT2D, wow.
The original OOT2D was made by Daniel Barras, aka TRM, though he has not shown any definitive proof of his progress since about Christmas 2003, when the fabled "Demo 4" was to be released that allowed you to go up to Gohma (sp?).
However, even though the OoT2D project is most likely fake, he did create ZFGC, Zelda Fan Game Central, which continues to be an active community with many talented spriters and programmers.
One guest to ZFGC decided to make his own OOT2D, which is the one you are referring to. A month or two ago, he did indeed fake his death because he couldn't finish the product and didn't want to disappoint his fans.
Regardless, splodger15, there wouldn't be too much of a problem finding resources if you wanted to make a Zelda fangame, as ZFGC has tons, and there are also sites like The Spriter's Resource and The Shy Guy Kingdom where you can find some good sprites.
Just a couple of samples of some of the graphics that were created long ago to help TRM with his project:

So yeah, resources wouldn't be a major problem if someone wanted to make a Zelda fangame.![]()
What language has been used for it so far?
The site that DanThemanMS pointed out is the best one to find sprites and such. I really think it'd be to hard for one person to code after reading more about it. You may need a group of people http://www.zfgc.com/index.php?topic=904.90 <-- This site has a post that has downloads for other demos that people attempted.
