This is great, I've been looking around for one of these for ages! Now I can make people believe I am running official firmware that runs homebrew lol
News/release from Badboy:
Hey,Screenshot:
yesterday I started a little project: a VersionSpoofEditor for CFW3.52M33-2
today I release v1.5
with it you can change the displayed name under systemsettings
at the moment you need the newest prxDecrypter, to decrypt your vshctrl.prx manually
(maybe I will implement it, but is the prxDecrypter source public?)
please read ReadMe, before using
i have no responsibility if you brick your PSP
Download here
P.S.: don't expect too much from the Editor, it is simple and textbased

While it could be something nifty to show off to friends with, I think I'm going to hold off. m33 has been working hard on their custom firmware, and they deserve the place their moniker currently has in my System Information.
You are 100% on the ball Tesseract, it's just that this is something that will amuse me for a while, on the next update it will revert to whatever they use and I'll leave it at that then. But as you so accurately say, Team M33 are fantastic replacements for DAX (although there is only one DAX!)
GO TEAM M33!! I've got ya back!
I thought the same thing, especially because the image shows that you can name it 3.52 OE-A, which makes it seem that DAX is behind all of the M33 firmware. But still, this could be useful for many things, such as to make SONY believe you have the official firmware version if you have to send it to them for repairing.![]()
I don't have Custom Firmware 3.52 M33-2 yet
When I do I will be sure t try this, but 3.40oe is still good for me!![]()
I have tested it out and it works as it is intended to do. I love the idea. Made my psp firmware named 7.77: ZSP mwahahaha. Thanks Badboy for the program. Works like a charm.
'psp oe customizer'
this isn't a hack, but it's already been done.
