If your having problems storing Wallpaper or Running themes:
    Wallpaper, Themes not saving, working...
    Check F1

    Bad F1:
Contains the registry folder and files needed but nothing else...

Most of these folders are empty and can easily be recreated.
They are used to store user information like themes, wallpaper and so on...
I know recreating the folders solves the Wallpaper, and Theme problems (80108351)
This should also fix GPS and HTTP settings problems but I have not tested them.

    Good F1:

This is the file structure that can be recreated manually:
    f1:\gps\
    f1:\net\http
f1:\registry <- again this does get recreated along with the system.dreg / .ireg -no need to mess with it.
f1:\updater <- contains a log file that is probably unnecessary... folder is probably not needed.
    f1:\vsh\theme

All of the above are folders.
For instance "theme" is a folder inside the "vsh" folder...
Without these folders you can set a Wallpaper but can not keep it after the PSP is restarted.

And There is at least one file and folder that could be missing: atokl0.dat
f1:\dic\atokl0.dat <- folder nor dat file exist, I don't know what this is used for.

Warning: For those upgrading to 3.71M33 because it can use homebrew now.
There is a possible BSOD Full Brick after using Recovery F1 formatter (Format flash1 and reset settings)
Or by accessing "Themes" after an upgrade to 3.71M33 without Restoring System Defaults in the XMB first.

How to avoid the BSOD brick:

Press Circle at the BSOD and its basically over... full brick.
Instead power off the PSP and then back on again, instead of bricking the PSP reboots to defaults.
    Edit:
legitnelite suggested that pressing Start instead of shutting down the PSP works just as well.

    This workaround is not perfect:
By skipping the Circle reboot not all Files and Folders on F1 are recreated after the format:
Setting a wall paper fails to work after a reboot
Using custom themes results in a (80108351) error
I am sure other user settings will not work right away.
Recreate the folders as necessary on F1 to store user information

    3.71M33 NAND Image recovery:
Must use Despertar_cementerio2 to recover a 3.71M33 Nand image using Pandora

    PopsLoader:
    Does not work on 3.71M33

Not that I'm implying that you're wrong Micronut, just to be clear. I'm just saying that the vast majority of bricks reported have been from people flashing stuff.
    No, your are right.
And thank you for not flamming me.

No need to cause panic or create any drama here.
The last thing the internet needs is that.
Especially in the PSP scene and DA's CFW

I am working on this and will get to the bottom of it.
I really want to get this PSP working correctly.
It has no problems with 3.52M33-4

I have rebuilt it from 1.50 several times...
I am going to give it another try from scratch.

The fact that many have successes and only a few do not
(read other forums) not tells me that the PSP or the process is the problem.
    Not the firmware.

Problems come from people not installing the program correctly. D-A has always made cfw's better then anyone on the scene. Most need to read and follow the direction.

    3.71 m33+1.50 kernel works perfect.

There's a fix, I posted something already, saying that I fixed all of my problems. I downgraded back to 1.50, then upgraded to 3.52 M33, then 3.52 M33-4, and 3.71 M33 again and fixed that.

I keep getting an error when it is flashing the "pspnet_inet.prx" file. Anyone else have this happen? I don't know why it's happening, what can I do about it?

    Thanks!

Thanks as always DAX some of us are truly grateful for all you have done for the scene, I remember using that first 2.71SE and thinking how wonderful. Heres to hoping he helps us out here and there if we need. Muff you need to go get the 3.52 m33 custom firmware installer and what not, it will ask you to put the 1.50 firmware update, and the 3.52 update in particular folders together than on the psp you will run a program which will in simple terms kind of mix the two, then once it makes that, again on your psp you will run the installer, just DON'T do anything unless you are SURE you understand, or if you know anyone with a pandora battery, than you are good to go as well.

Just upgrade to 3.52 M33-> 3.52 M33-4 -> 3.71 M33 -> 1.50 Patch. I've done this many times, with 3 of my PSPs, and 2 PSPs from friends, and no problem at all. It's all safe.

If you want, I could upload and send you all the files ready, I have them saved, so all you would do is copy them into your PSP, and press X.

And I tested Remotejoy, it's working 100%. Works for XMB, UMD and Homebrew. There's a new GUI with the new prx for 3.71M33 of RemoteJoy which you can get right here.
Thanks a bunch for your help. I think I can get those files for myself but thanks so much for the offer. Before I couldn't get my XMB or homebrew to work for Remotejoy so I hope you are right and that it will work now. Thanks again. I will now be updating.

Edit: On second thought, could you, or anyone, please give me links to these firmware files because I can't seem to find the 3.52 M33 firmware. I tried going to DAX's site but that was all in russian and it wanted me to register to become a user. The only other place I could find it was from torrents and I just don't feel safe downloading something like this from a torrent. Oh wait I just found it but I just want to double check that I can go straight from 3.40 OE to 3.52 M33?
