LOL, your's died too.
I found the process to be a breeze, it just takes forever.
Joy of all joys, my 360 died on me last night with the (dum, dum, dum) Red Ring of Death.
It's a July 06 model with a Samsung Drive, just over 18 months old as it was purchased in Oct 06.
So do I get a RRoD membership card?
I've tried registering the device on the Xbox site so I can request a repair, but for some reason it won't accept me submitting the Serial No. I've sent an email to the support team, so I'll see what happens.
I was wondering if there any other UK folk who have had to get a 360 repaired? How long will the process take?
Cheers.
EDIT:
Called MS Support this morning and got through straight away. They asked me to turn the 360 on and asked about the status of the power pack. Upon reporting it showing a green light, they're gonna send a courier to pick up the machine in 5 working days. I just have to pack it up, minus cables/power pack/HD etc in a plain box. Total call length 5 mins. Not bad.

no GTAIV… oh dear.
Luckily I'm one of the few that's not fussed about GTA. I'm sure it's fantastic but for some reason it doesn't really interest me. If it did I'd be well gutted.
I always feared it would die sooner or later. I just hope the repaired one will last.
I might get round to playing Shenmue 2 or Skies Of Arcadia on my Dreamcast now. I'll miss my CoD 3 fix for few weeks though.
How long did you have to wait ExcruciationX? I guess postage to your sector of the galaxy takes time![]()

Wait... There's A Club?
How the Hell do is miss these things?
lol, yea my 360 got the RROD about a year ago, the process was easy, it just took forever
Has your 360 been OK since, ninja9393?
Did you get a repair or replacement?
I think since the RRoD has become a joke, MS should start up a club. I want a badge dammit, and a membership pack telling me of all the other wonderful things I could be doing whilst they offer medical assistance to my beige box. At least it might show they have a sense of humour.
Yeah, that's true.
In all honesty, it took about three weeks (from Seattle to Texas). The replacement I got works fine (it RROD'd once and then recovered itself).
You had bad luck really. I'm sure Microsoft will repair the problem soon.
I'm just glad they extended the warranty for RRoD problems. It was the right thing to do. Credit to them for that. Otherwise I'd be really miffed.
