Microsoft already said they will not be introducing bluray to the 360, so why bother with $#@!ty rumours?
DigiTimes is feeling pretty confident about the rumors they started yesterday regarding the Xbox 360 with integrated Blu-ray. They are so confident that they're predicting a price war as Microsoft takes on Sony's PS3 at its own game. Their sources claim that the Blu-ray Disc drive will cost Microsoft between $95 and $100 -- much higher than the $18 to $20 DVD drives already found in the Xbox 360. Microsoft is of course, expected to sell its new Blu-ray rig at a loss as is customary in the console market. Sony may then be forced to lower the cost of the PS3 and/or retaliate by increasing Lite-On's cost for the Blu-ray components (like the BD-ROM pick-up heads) purchased from Sony. Whatever the result, the competition would be nothing but good news for consumers of HD media... you know, if the rumor is true.

These "Blu-ray on 360" rumors are the jokes of the year.
Well it would be a smart business move on their part, at least as far as making money from HD movie buyers.
However it would be utterly stupid to introduce a "new" console nearly 2 and a half years after launch...
Most everyone that really wanted a 360 already has one; most of Microsoft's really hyped, tried and true system seller games are out already (and therefore cannot benefit from being on a Blu-Ray; well I take that back the Halo Trilogy could be put on a blu-ray). Now, the majority of people that will purchase a 360 are those that couldn't afford it when it was a premium item.
So if true, this won't bode well for Microsoft; not unless they offer a "Trade In" deal.
Damn they are milking this rumor to the bone.
Why are these continuing? It's been denied, this rumor included.
