Pandora Battery, Battery Problem?

Hi, i have been following a guide to try and downgrade a PSP, it includes removing the 5th pin from your batterys circuit, but for my battery it has a metal casing around it.

Can anyone help me, or tell me how to get around this problem.

are you sure it's metal, or is it plastic

with most batteries you can just use a knife to open it, there are tons of guides on youtube, go check those out
